Twitter allows death threat against conservative activist’s kids
backtracks after criticism

]A tweet wanting children to be murdered was approved by Twitter until the response overwhelmed them. That little pr#ck Jack is about to testify before Congress. Can't wait for his duck and dive on this issue.

Quote:August 27, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Twitter temporarily allowed a tweet to stand suggesting conservative commentator Dana Loesch’s children should be murdered, initially claiming it did not violate the company’s rules.

Loesch, a former Breitbart and The Blaze pundit who currently works as a spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association (NRA), shared a pair of screenshots Sunday evening. The first showed a tweet in which a user argued that if Loesch “has to have her children murdered before she’ll understand” gun control, “I guess that’s what needs to happen.”

The second contained a reply email in which Twitter claimed to have “reviewed your report carefully” yet concluded “there was no violation of the Twitter rules.” Loesch and her husband Chris did not share the complete reply, but the bottom of the screenshot suggests that “context matters.”

However, the link in Twitter’s reply expressly states that users may not “wish for the serious physical harm, death, or disease of an individual or group of people.”

“I just wish Twitter would treat users consistently across the board,” she lamented.

After several hours’ worth of tweets, complaints, and media reports about the incident, Loesch followed up with a tweet Monday afternoon revealing that the company had reversed course:[/quote]

This is the smoking gun.

Twitter's immunity to lawsuits needs to be revoked immediately. They are not a mere carrier.

I got off twitter several months ago. Never really cared for it and was only on there to review my kids activity. They are all over 18 now so I'm out.

They have probably been on Snapchat for years now. My HS age nephew says Facebook and Twitter are for old people.

I don't have a twitter, but use it to follow a couple of accounts, because I like the way they amalgamate news. Mostly Cernovich. I hear about stories from him hours if not days or weeks before they hit MSM.

I rarely go outside of those pages, because twitter at-large is filled with a bunch of unhinged, alt-left lunatics. Extended time on it can be depressing, and it's no wonder to me why we have so many psychopaths running around.

That is true. I know my son and daughter use that method to "talk" to each other. Not exclusively of course. He's at college and she's a married teacher so it's their way of having fun with each other just being goofy.

They're adults now so either way have at it.

Proud to say I've never tweeted, snapchatted, bookfaced. Never, ever.
