It goes without saying that we're all pretty sure that the Jags will give us a tougher game than the Cajuns usually do. No one at Tech is expecting a Tech blowout win like our games with you guys usually end up.

With this being said, I hate that we'll be the first team to face USA with their new head coach. Who knows what to expect? This game sets up nicely for the Jaguars to pull off an upset. Tech will have to play well in all facets of the game if we're to get out of Mobile with a win.

You might be better served to focus instead on fixing whatever it is that has caused your team to suffer eight humiliating losses in a row to La Tech. Eight losses by an average score of 47-17. Having an assistant coach cheat in recruiting did you no good. Maybe there's something else you could try.

Looks like South isn't very sure about who they want at QB. Doesn't seem like a good sign for that position.

Eight butt kickings in a row can sure make a fellow bitter. 03-lmfao Truth be known, the games haven't even been as close as the average 30 point margins appear. Almost all of the scoring that you guys have had has come late in the second halves vs our 2nd and 3rd teams.

I know none of this will matter to ULL fans once the Cajuns figure out how to cheat their way to another winning season. Then I'm sure we'll all be treated to another chorus of "Big 12 Bound" from all of you as your visions of grandeur kick back in.

brtran-not bitter. Losses are disappointing. YOU SHOULD be bitter and embarrassed about the mascot murders, the coach/player liaisons and the warnings about public urination at your ballpark. Its just embarrassing, man.

Looks like South isn't very sure about who they want at QB. Doesn't seem like a good sign for that position.

Cole Garvin is a senior with 10 starts including a 16 of 21 for 242 yds and 3 td's in a win over #19 San Diego State. He was also 25 of 45 for 343 yds with 2 td's in the win over StAte last year. 10 starts from a senior is usually enough to win the job. His downside is a tendency to throw picks. Evan Orth is also a senior, but doesn't have the experience Cole has, however he has been statistically better than Cole in the Fall. He also has better wheels, and coach Campbell likes a lively QB. Which brings up Cephus Johnson. A redshirt freshman that is the future QB for the jags. 6'5" 225lbs and the best athlete of all the qb's. His knock is experience. I can see all three getting reps on Saturday depending how the game goes, but it's not a weak point for us.

If Cole is at least keeping it close, I'd be surprised if he gets pulled. And he's capable. But like you said, I don't think any of them are bad choices.

Yeah, right. Maybe you'd have a little more credibility if you weren't a supporter of a school who's athletic history is rife with cheating scandals. How about YOU SHOULD be bitter about the fact that every time it looks like your school may actually make a move up to respectability in sports, somebody is caught cheating (usually in recruiting), and the NCAA comes down with sanctions on your athletics.

Maybe cheating is a way of life in Lafayette, I don't know, but most of us manage to run honorable programs that DON'T CHEAT. You guys in Lafayette should try it some day.

Pot meet kettle. Glass houses dude, glass houses.

As far as the game, I care/know nothing about neck. USA however is always a good game, football, the diamond sports, basketball. Very competitive and always a mutual respect between our teams even if there is some trash talking.
USA wins this one 24-21.

Still a little while out, but some of the forecasts are showing rain/thunderstorms for Saturday. Not sure what effect that will have on the teams.

Hopefully things improve before Saturday.

The annual LA Tech beating of the chest as they win a game against an SBC opponent only to fade into obscurity and not win their watered down conference yet again. Sad.

Interesting take. I don't know if you have done the math, but only one team will win the Sun Belt this year. Also only one team will win CUSA (2 if you count the division). Oh well maybe we are a failure because we haven't won the conference.

I can only hope for a USA victory. But that would be an upset in my opinion. Just seems LaTech has the SBC's number.

Good luck Jags.
