Seeing as how it's Kalifornistan, I'm sure the next bill that accompanies this will be to ensure that the "milk" being served is organic, fat free, lactose free, non GMO from "free range" farms where they're served a vegan diet......

Keep the packaging and replace the drink. Same with cars. Why don’t they concentrate on an electric conversion engine instead of forcing everyone to buy a new car? I mean, I know an entire region (Middle East) would be decimated if every country moved away from oil but screw them. Right?

Every country can't move away from oil, indeed no country can move away from oil, until there is a suitable alternative.

I agree that every effort should be made to identify and develop that alternative. But forcing moves before there is a viable something to move to strikes me as patently stupid.

Well, that would sound great in theory, until you understand how electricity is generated.

A power station, also referred to as a power plant or powerhouse and sometimes generating station or generating plant, is an industrial facility for the generation of electric power. Most power stations contain one or more generators, a rotating machine that converts mechanical power into electrical power. The relative motion between a magnetic field and a conductor creates an electrical current. The energy source harnessed to turn the generator varies widely. Most power stations in the world burn fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas to generate electricity. Others use nuclear power,

Electric cars are great in theory, but you need oil, coal or natural gas to get the turbines spinning.

I have a funny feeling that many of those opposed to oil use a heck of a lot of plastic products, including i-phones, plastic "recycle" containers, etc..., shop fanatically at places like IKEA, and generally have no clue what the connection between the two is.
