Charlotte at FAU (no rivalry)
Marshall at FIU (no rivalry)
MTSU vs UAB (not much)
ODU at Rice (no rivalry)
WKU at La Tech (not much)
NT at UTSA (probably some texas rivalry)
Southern Miss at UTEP (not much rivalry)
No brainer match ups should be
FAU vs FIU
Marshall vs WKU
or
MTSU vs WKU
ODU vs Charlotte (could be a rivalry but charlotte sucks and C-USA wont schedule it)
USM vs UAB or USM vs La Tech
Any texas matchup
So does ODU.
Eh. Suck isn't the right word. I would go with mediocre. Bowl eligible in 2 of 4 years is exactly that.

Well, I didnt say it was a good rivalry. But both schools hate each other.

Ive been to Ponyfans. There is plenty of hate over there as well. Admittedly, more of the hate is directed at you guys.

So it’s like the TCU vs SMU rivalry? If TCU fans even recognize it anymore
SMU fans are the snobs who think everybody else is deplorable.
TCU fans are the no-so-smart bullies saying STFU or I will kick your azz.
UNT fans are the ones jumping up and down and saying "look at me".

RE: C-USA fails again during Rivalry Week
How many football rivals are actually in CUSA
F_U vs F_U
Middle vs Western
LA Tech vs S Miss (And Im stretching a bit)
No one else has a football rivalry. The closest Marshall has is USM or UAB. Marshall's 2 biggest rivals are actually MAC schools with Ohio (Respected kind of) and Miami OH (Heated and Hated). And the closest in Basketball for Marshall is UAB, although Middle, Western and ODU are starting to creep up somewhat.
There is no Ohio State/Michigan game, Iron Bowl or even UCLA/USC type of game. Not even with the Florida twins. Plus I never understood the concept of "Rivalry Week". As a matter of fact it didn't exist until about 10 years ago when ESPN started attaching the name to the big games.

To me the UAB C-USA Rivalries in order are:
USM
La Tech - 2nd in Rivalry, but #1 in hatred (but probably could be said for 3/4 the conference )
MTSU
Marshall

Most of the conference has crap attendance more often than not.
2017 was the first time ODU had more than ~10% better attendance than MT.
And we aren't that far removed from having far better attendance, hell we got 28k on a Tuesday night conference game about ten years ago when there was some actual excitement around the program.
But hot take, your 20k average certainly is a lofty perch to look down from...

Charlotte is 4-20 against CUSA schools since joining the conference. I know ODU isn't exactly the highest on the leaderboard, but I don't think we belong in the same category of bad as you guys.

A bit easier to find consistency over 10 years than 110 years, or even compared to our 20 years at the FBS level.
But again, more often than not it's been ODU ~20k vs MT ~17k, so if our attendance is crap, what's yours a wet fart?

You say it like our stadiums are comparable in size. I can't tell you the last time we didn't have at least one crowd that wouldn't fit in Foreman field, but it was probably around 2004.

It's really too bad that 17k is what you can muster for fan support after 110 years or however long your program has been around.
I would prefer a 20k sellout stadium than a half full monstrosity that winds up 1/2 empty looking every Saturday, except for the big games you draw in. Who is your biggest home OOC game this year, UT Martin? But hey, at least you've got the LED lights to flash to get that half full stadium hyped before kickoff each game, so that's nice.

Pal, I didn't start the attendance talk.
I literally jumped in to the discussion to say that as nice as it would be to embrace rivalry week, it just doesn't make sense to put one of our only consistent draws on Thanksgiving weekend and then a ODU fan started the attendance smack.
I'm not even talking smack about ODU's attendance, I'm merely pointing out that the difference in the two attendance figures is marginal.
And our home schedule sucks this year no doubt, but it is an anomaly, from 2014-2023 Floyd has hosted or will host, BYU, Vandy(twice), Duke, Virginia Tech, and Mizzou.
