I'll say this. The more Trump questions the charge the that the Russians hacked and downloaded the data published by wikileaks, the more it makes me wonder.
First off, one thing I've learned about the man is that when he makes what initially sounds like an outrageous claim against his antagonists, more often than not, it turns out that there's truth in what he says.
Then there's the FBI, who never took possession of the DNC servers and apparently have relied on a dim-paid company, Crowdstrike, to give them the evidence they've used to make the charge that Russians were involved in stealing the emails that wikileaks published. If that's the totality of Bueller's evidence, would such a process stand up in a court in the US?
And don't get me wrong, as has been stated elsewhere, we all know the Russians try every day to penetrate our security systems just as we do theirs. I'd just like to be comfortable that there's more proof there than, "you can trust us, we're the FBI".
Lastly, as we discussed in another thread last night, there have been what appear to be some serious questions about download speeds of the data published on wikileaks and elsewhere. I'm no computer expert but from what I understand, metadata in those published documents shows that the download speeds of the documents greatly exceeded speeds associated with long distance download over the internet and instead more closely approximated the download speeds one would get by downloading data to a thumbdrive....onsite. There were other things the metadata showed that I won't get in to.
Might be all bullshyte, but so far, a lot of what Bueller has done looks like bullshyte to me, so there's that. I'd sure like to see some professionals shoot down the thumbdrive download theory before accepting Bueller's claims without hesitation.
