Scoreboard has already been moved closer to the field and more than doubled in size. Within two years a new building will be in the North Endzone and the track will be gone. We need to work on dressing up a few things, but like someone else said, when 25,000 people fill the place up you don't notice that much.

What if I told you Doak-Campbell was an erector set surrounded by bricks. That's how long it takes to forget, since they bricked it up 25 years ago. But that's what UCF eventually plans to do with their erector set too.

Been there and that was my take. Actually walked around under that metal framework. It is impressive looking from outside the stadium. The Unconquered Statue is a highlight no matter who you follow in college football.

Once you get inside and walk around the concourse it's just nothing special though. The dark, dingy, metal framework concourse was downright ugly to me. And that's all it is the entire walk around the concourse. What's so special about the interior of Doak Campbell?

Installation of the new video boards is in progress. The new ones are 5x bigger and will be in the same spot (one on each side of the endzone complex).

I had an interesting experience in Paulson around 1995.

I was nearly broke. I had money coming but for a few weeks I was just barely getting by. I walked up to the gate and got out my wallet to spend 12 precious dollars.

A man walks up to me and hands me a ticket. No reason that I could tell.

The stadium was adequate in that there were places for everyone to sit. You could see the field etc. Nothing extra tho.

That's a pretty neat story. Glad you got to see the game! Out of curiosity, have you been in recent years? It's VERY different now (except we have that same dinky pressbox...I hate that thing lol).

At the junction of I-85, I-75, and I-20. Georgia State's new video board. About 4x bigger than the old Braves board. Pleasant surprise of the phase 2 upgrade, maybe there were some extra money left. Cant miss that big a$$ sign for the Big A$$ Stadium.
