RE: colllapse of the never-trumpers
Good paragraph
Quote:The greatest disconnect is religious and cultural: the Republican Party is overwhelmingly Caucasian and Christian and traditional on social issues, while its pundits skew Jewish and agnostic and libertarian. Krauthammer wanted to have it both ways, which is not unlike the hedging that Brooks and Goldberg have displayed. George Will went so far as to say: “I’m an atheist. An agnostic is someone who is not sure. I’m pretty sure. I see no evidence of God.” Meanwhile, Gerson is a liberal Episcopalian who took to the pages of the Atlantic to attack evangelicals for supporting Trump. In sum, the conservative intellectuals didn’t understand the base’s concerns about religious liberty because they hardly cared for religion — which should have disqualified them long ago.

George Will needs to open his eyes.
And, yes, that paragraph alone is very informative -- and on point.

I am.
But, I'm nothing like the neo-cons described in this article. Since Trump's election win, I have supported him and wished for him to succeed. My concerns with Trump were his long history of being a democrat, campaign style, lack of experience, concerns about his morality, and New York background. No offense, but being a Texan, I've always been skeptical of Northern Republicans. I still believe Ted Cruz would be a fine President some day, but.....
Trump has done more for the nation in his short time in office then any President in my lifetime, even more then Reagan. I was wrong about Trump. I openly admit it. He has proven to be a better conservative then past Republican Presidents. I still have concerns about whether he is a good man, but I now have no doubt that he is a fine President. Unless he does something severely stupid, I will gladly be voting for him in 2020.
What this article calls the collapse of the Never-Trumpers, is really the reunification of the Republican Party. That is a great thing for conservatives. dems should be very concerned heading into November.

The answer to your question as to whether Trump is a "good man" is, quite frankly, no. He is not.
Bear with me for a sec.
Neither is any other candidate that ran, Republican or Democratic.
For one simple reason:
Roman 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Roman 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
If you consider this, there is not a single candidate, politician, person who meets the standard of "good".
We can measure degrees of goodness from a secular perspective, but the verses hold true. There are none righteous.

Very classy reply by SSJ, to what appears to me like a completely unnecessary provocation.
I'll take it a step further. Trump is a good president -- much better than I was expecting. But he remains an embarrassment, and has come very near to squandering opportunities to get this nation out of its Obama funk by his inability to keep his yap shut when he holds a winning hand. (The only thing that has bailed him out, over and over, is the total insanity of the left, which continually insists on stepping in Trump's nasty and blundering piles and the proceeding to run all around with it on their shoes -- to the point that people forget that it was Trump's mess to begin with.)
You don't have to be a good person to be a good president. Ted Cruz is a prick, but it's my opinion that he would have been a much better president. Mitt Romney also, if he'd had the gumption to run again in 2016 -- and he is at least arguably a good person. (My assumption here, of course, is that either Cruz or Romney could have defeated the corrupt hag. There is no way to prove this. If your assumption is that ONLY Trump could have won, then I'll have to concede that we are lucky to have him as our president.)
This country is great, all on its own. Trump is succeeding because, once you get past his nonsense, his policies are generally in line with American freedom, security and entrepreneurship. Good for him. Get us a solid Constitutioalist on the Supreme Court, and maybe I'll finally come around to "great for him".
But I really don't think it's particularly helpful for the MAGA crowd to at this point be doing an "in your face" to Never Trumpers, who at the end want nothing more than what is best for this nation.

If you are still a never trumper, its past time to disavow. Or, at the very least, list out the items in which you think he is so bad at that it overrides the below list: (By the way, this list is a little dated.)
