Let's compare the two examples you are trying to equate.

The bakery in Radford. VA that turned away Joe Biden in 2012 is called Crumb and Get it. It's owned by Chris McMurray. Mr McMurray was contacted by someone from the advance team for Obama/Biden 2012 who wanted to use his bakery as a campaign stop. Mr McMurray declined to allow his business to be used to advance a political agenda he did not agree with. Being a campaign stop there would have been news coverage and the implied notion that since he hosted the event that he, a small business owner, supported a campaign that was detrimental to small business owners everywhere. Joe Biden never physically set foot in the bakery.

Sarah Sanders and her family were eating a private meal totally unconnected to the administration or any political campaign. There was no press and had the BS not taken place there's probably absolutely no chance that anybody outside of the people physically in the restaurant would ever connect Sanders to the Red Hen. The Sanders party was seated and had already started to be served when they were asked to leave.

Now you tell me exactly how the two situations compare. I would say that the mental gymnastics will at least be entertaining but you've shown in your time on this forum that if brain power were gasoline you wouldn't have enough to burn a piss ant off a sidewalk.

The minute she become the press secretary, became the public face. Elections have consequences right?

Wow...that's pathetic...and you're a really good poster too

LOL

If you are too stupid to see the difference between a political campaign stop and a private dinner then that's an indictment of you, not the rest of us capable of rational thought.

You can wrap it up into tidy packages and try to compartmentalize how the gay wedding cake refusal, the Biden and team refusal and the Red Hen refusal were all different. But at the end of the day it was a business refusing service. Period. End of story.

Not even remotely the same thing. Baker's aren't denying service outright, but are objecting to taking part in a specific activity that conflicts with their religious beliefs. Several in ques to in these cases have sold cakes and florists have sold flowers to gay patrons but refuse to take part in wedding ceremonies. Sarah Sander's family didn't ask for something specific or special. They simply tried to obtain the exact same generic service that the restaurant provides to everybody else. There was no special request or custom item to be made that differentiated from what any other patron of the restaurant would receive and it was not requested as any part of a religious ceremony or act.

Good gracious are you dense. Biden didn't just walk in to get a cookie like every other patron. His 'team' walked in and asked if they could get a photo op for campaign promotion.

Do you ever get anything right?

Only in your small brain is it wrong.

I'll try this again with as small of words as I can.

No. Biden wanted a photo op for the campaign. He didn't even go to the bakery himself. He wanted something "special". He did not just want a cookie.

Sarah Sanders went to eat dinner just like every other person in the restaurant. She did not ask for anything special.

Either you lack the intellectual capacity to understand the very simple difference that I would wager everybody else here sees, or you lack the intellectual honesty to admit you were wrong. Either way, there aren't enough neg rep points available to deal with a poster like you. Perhaps you understand memes?

Quote:A quiet Tuesday afternoon here transformed into a raucous demonstration when people gathered outside the Red Hen to protest the restaurant's treatment of Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Some carried enormous Trump flags and donned red "Make America Great Again" hats. Others carried signs asking for tolerance and civility. And as the action escalated, many just turned up to watch.

Lexington, a small Virginia town tucked in the Shenandoah Mountains, earned national attention when Stephanie Wilkinson, the owner of the Red Hen, asked Sanders to leave the restaurant last Friday night.

"I’m appalled at the way they treated the press secretary, and I think if people don’t make a stand, that kind of stuff will continue around the state and around the country," said Ian McDonald, 34, of Accomack County. "So we've got to send a message that it’s not acceptable."

MacDonald was one of the first to set up shop outside the Red Hen on Tuesday. Protests had been planned for that afternoon in advance of the restaurant's usual opening at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.

But soon, word spread that the restaurant would stay closed. Justin Peery, the owner of Good Place Farms Bed & Breakfast — which hosted the Sanders family last week — said Wilkinson will not reopen the restaurant until July 5.

Strange. No windows were broken, nothing was set on fire and nobody was assaulted by the protesters. Nobody is calling for the children of this vile woman to be locked up with pedophiles.

Look at the photos in the article and notice which side seems to be "yelling" or as exasperated facial expressions. Also kinda funny that pictures with 3-5 protesters calmly holding signs and flags is described as " a raucous demonstration". It's the same rag that downplayed Trump's crowds on 15k+

It is roughly a 6-hour car trip from Accomack County (on Virginia's Eastern Shore) to Lexington, with a 13-dollar (non-peak) bridge-tunnel toll to pay.

Ian McDonald is one dedicated protestor -- unless he was already in town for other business.

Okay... So which one of you folks threw chicken **** at the Red Hen in Lexington?

Oh and then you have some idiots sending death threats to the owners of the WRONG RESTAURANTS.... I guess it's just collateral damage in the Trump Administrations war on a 26-seat restaurant in rural Virginia...

Quote:WASHINGTON — Michael Friedman wants you to know something: His Red Hen restaurant, located in D.C.’s Bloomingdale neighborhood, is unaffiliated with the Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia.

And D.C.’s Red Hen, he said, is open to all.

It’s a message the owner has been trying to get out since Saturday, when White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted that she and her party were asked to leave the Lexington eatery the night before because she works for President Donald Trump.

Unfortunately, Friedman’s eatery — along with similarly named restaurants in New Jersey and Connecticut — have been the target of social media outrage ever since. Thousands of tweets and such aimed at Friedman’s place have ranged from merely critical to outright threatening.

“We’ve received death threats,” Friedman said.

Is it possible that people on both sides act uncivil at times?

Of course, but you have to ask yourself which side is more accurately described by acting "uncivil". It's good that guy that threw chicken **** at the restaurant was arrested. He should be checked mentally as well. Who the **** would pick up chicken ****??? it's just about the worst type of **** there is.

You can wrap it up into tidy packages and try to compartmentalize how the gay wedding cake refusal, the Biden and team refusal and the Red Hen refusal were all different. But at the end of the day it was a business refusing service. Period. End of story.

I actually agree with you. I think what is happening to the Red Hen is what should happen. There has been ZERO reaction from the government. However, the owner has been forced out of her position in the local chamber of Commerce due to many bussiness's not wanting to be associated with such behavior. Extra press scrutiny of the diner has shed light on a spotty cleanliness inspection record. And protests have resulted outside the diner due to the owners actions being extremely unpopular with a significant portion of the area's population. In the end---it was a poor business decision which will likely have a very adverse affect on the business given that 30-50% of his customers probably voted for Trump.

RE: Lexington VA Restaraunt Welcomes Trump Supporters
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Businesses should take advice to not mettle in political wars. You cannot win, if you support Trump you will get it from the Libturds, if you do stuff like what this restaurant did you'll lose customers, (Conservatives hit you where it hurts your wallet).

Keep your moufs shut and don't mettle...or it is meddle? Oh well, take your pick.

It is not like the Red Hen is serving Mc Donald’s

Remember when Charles Bronson made nail boards like that to hurt perps in Death Wish III ? That was great.
