Our home town company is paying our home town school about HALF of what they are paying that school in the eastern part of the state.

That should never be acceptable, no matter how much damage Orlando did to the program.

Gonna be waiting a long time. We should've shot ourselves in the head when Cal turned him down.

he's the worst....

UofMemphis seems to disagree with you which guarantees you are on the right track.

I wouldn't necessarily call him the worst, but I don't think he is good at all.

if you think Bowen is anywhere near the incompetence shown by RC Johnson then you 1) don't know your UofM history (which I already knew) and 2) have no idea what your talking about (which doesn't surprise me at all)

but hey, miserables gonna miserable so you go right ahead.

I mean, you seem like an RC kinda guy to me anyways...

I am simply an anti-Bowen guy

We hired a football AD who focused on San Jose St. football

judging by their record, I don't think Bowen gave a crap about SJS's basketball program, and that sentiment has continued to show big time for Penny and co.

RC was worse. But Bowen has been pretty bad for a period while also actively interviewing for other jobs.

Cavagnaro.

Charles Cavagnaro...that's it. I seem to remember the general consensus being 'if you thought RC was bad you should have seen Cavagnaro'

the story goes he left Memphis football on probation and ended up landing at UNLV where he told black football players to 'go back to the jungle' and called a black hoops player a 'gorilla'

sounds like a real winner.

How was he supposed to do anything? We have too many ties to Nike in our University and program. Penny has a contract with Nike and can't be involved with any other company. Bowens hands were tied.
