lol I noticed the same thing and thought, "what in the world?"....I thought maybe he was trying to be cool because that would be the 'street' way to say words like that.

I wondered if it was some kind of "technique" that he learned in broadcasting school to try and soften the hard "T" sound when it's in the middle of the word. Especially when a microphone is involved that picks it up and amplifies the staccato nature of the sound.

I must have gotten used to it because I noticed it less and less as the broadcast went on.
