It could be if the opposing team is allowed to use it at their discretion. Imagine being at the 10 yard line and have a good chance at a TD for the winning score with 15 seconds to go and then the other team uses its 15 yard penalty. Whoo boy, talk about fun.

For the Libbys there's no patriotism involved in the national anthem. To us who are, it's what its all about.

I hope the foolish players continue to insult the nation with their disrespectful national anthem protests. The MAJORITY of NFL fans do not support disrespect of the anthem so ratings and attendance will continue to drop if the players can't figure this out.

In addition to any forfeited game checks, players will be susceptible to an attack on any unearned amounts of signing bonuses they previously have received…

Besides, if players truly thinking about sitting out at great expense later, why not sit out at little or no expense now? The Organized Team Activities are voluntary, and more than a few players are skipping them for a variety of reasons. If “several NFL stars” are thinking about sending a message later, why not send a message immediately?

let em' sit out. There are plenty of hungry football players looking to get their foot in the door. Football is the ultimate team sport anyway.
