Wow. Nice comeback by Kendall, who was on the mound for that Charlotte debacle and must have started having nightmaires.

HUGE win. Weekend starters were all off their games this weekend, and the offense was largely anemic, but somehow we managed to take the series and own what may be the all-important tie-breaker against UAB.

Game balls go to Acker, Sarchet and Jefferies, in that order.

Guaranteed to make the tournament with 2/3 next weekend (with high likelihood of the seven seed)... Hopefully it doesn’t come to this but we also have a decent chance of making the tourney with only 1/3.

I only do that when I watch the game from start to finish. Due to Mothers Day festivities, I only caught the final 3 innings today.

We are tied for seventh with UAB (we have the tie breaker). We are one game ahead of WKU ( but they have the tie breaker). If they both go 3-0 next weekend and we go 2-1, then we finish 9th, correct?

If I am figuring correctly, then, to make the CUSA tournament, we need to win as many as the worser of UAB and WKU this next weekend. Plus, we need to do well enough to stay ahead of MTSU.

3-0, we are in. Anything less, we need another team to lose, too.

WKU is not going to sweep FAU on the road. FAU is still fighting for post-season positioning, and CUSA tournament seeding. Though it's unlikely they'll catch USM (who's ahead by 2 1/2 games), they want to stay ahead of LaTech. A home sweep could put them on the NCAA bubble, as well. Ain't going to happen. And MTSU plays at UAB, so one or the other is going to get knocked out. See the new thread I created on the subject.
