TXST evens the series with a 10-3 win in Jonesboro.
Match of who has the worst #3 guy tomorrow.

Yeah if we can keep this up the tournament is going to be quite interesting especially with the Cajuns also getting hot.

Jags walked 9 and hit 7. Trojans walked 17.
That is not a misprint.

Yep. Our starter hit 5 and walked 5 and still got the win. That’s hard to do.

Troy won game 3 7-0. We pretty much used the full force of our pitching in game 2 to take the series instead of getting greedy and going for the sweep, and I'm glad.
Looks like the UL-Coastal series is going in a similar way.

Bobcats drop game 3 and the series to ASU.
Just another horrible season for TXST Baseball.

ULM sweeps Georgia St. First seeep of an SBC team since 2014. We aren’t good, but give Federico a little time and we will be.

Naturally the minute you posted this it turned into a pitchers duel. We got 4 plus shutout innings out of a True Freshman, and you guys got 7 innings of 2 run ball out of your starter.
AState wins 2-1 We scored in a grand total of 4 out of 25 total innings this series, and won 2 games...go figure.

Speaking of not a misprint. This also happened today in Little Rock
Ragan,M stole third, scored on a wild pitch; Coker,C stole home.
That's right...Little Rock scored 2 runs on a straight steal of home. Ended up being the winning run. Trojans take the series from South with a 7-4 winner. Go back into first place in the West.

There was also a wild pitch in there, but yeah, that’s how our season has gone.

But still. How on earth? It was 2nd and 3rd 2 outs, and they go for a double steal and a straight steal of home and the pitcher somehow throws it far enough away that both runs score?
I have never seen that before.

Like I said, we have found some crazy ways to lose games this season.
I didn’t see it, but my guess is there was a bunt attempt....I hope.

There were 2 outs. I doubt they were trying a suicide squeeze. Sounds like pitcher saw the runner moving and freaked and rushed the throw a lot.
I'm trying to find video of it.

So we fire our basketball after the best three-year stretch in program history, but have no problem getting swept at home by a team not even tourney contenders. We consistently battled TCU for the top team I the area. They have passed us up so far it is t even funny. DBU has surpassed us by a mile too. Yet, there’s no rumblings about any insecurity.

It's a matter of what you lead with . . . If you guys still had a Football Program, I believe that Cross would still be your Basketball Coach . . . Football would be your "premier" sport.
No football, means that Basketball becomes the "premier" sport, and thus garners the level of scrutiny that cost you a successful Coach. JMO.
There's also the fact that your current administration is catching some "blow back" from their unpopular dismissal of Cross. In light of that, they may not want to risk any more negativity with the dismissal of the baseball coach (at least not at this time).
Doesn't mean your baseball coach is safe, just that he's safe for now . . .

No question he's brought some fire to that program. I thought the goal should be to make the tournament in year one and it looks like that's going to happen. Two tough series left, though.

I think that is the goal for sure. Heck of a turnaround by the Cajuns FYI.

I'm thinking the Cajuns-Warhawks series will be much tougher this year.
