Well, Wolo said Mitchell is a lock. FWIW. With Penny indicating it will be a few weeks before the final slot is filled, and all the other smoke around Mitchell, it does seem that he's the guy and Penny is letting him work right now. And with Penny, Tony, and Mike on the recruiting trail, they're more than making up for not having a third AC. Plus, giving Mitchell the ability to keep coaching, building relationships, and working the kids at a more direct level than official coaches can.
So I would guess that it is playing out like that.
