FAU is hampered by the fact that they’ve done nothing on the weekends.

Yet, PG thinks we've done enough to be ranked at #19. It's all subjective. D1's rankings are literally decided by two of their editors, Aaron and Kendall. This isn't like football where 61 independent voters for the AP are compiled to determine a top 25. Until college baseball adopts a similar process, all of these polls are futile. If you need an at-large bid, what they're going to look at is your RPI and SOS. They could care less if you're ranked in D1 or PG's polls (or any others).

Also, if teams continue to be unable to sweep series against easier opponents, it will negatively affect their RPI and possibly their chance at an at-large bid. It might not matter that they won the series. For example, we lost a couple of RPI points with a sweep over Charlotte, but would've dropped to the low-20s with one loss. And that's with us still winning the series. The drop in the polls doesn't matter. In this conference, but especially this year, you'll need to be able to sweep these series. And that is something Florida Atlantic has been capable of on the weekends.
