Texas Tech is so happy they were able to get rid of the Tub and didn't even have to pay a buy out for his complete worthlessness.

Let's not revise history...they were very upset to lose Tubby and offered him a lot of money to stay. They made a great hire to replace him and they are in a better spot than they were, but it's not like they were going to be buying him out.

Nope. We thought it was a win/win for Memphis and Tech. You get Tubby and we get a coach that we respect and who knows and has ties to West Texas. Don’t get me wrong, we like Tubby and he left a more than decent roster behind that Beard immediately improved with short term talent. Beard’s goal is to win the NCAA every year and to do whatever that takes...without breaking the rules, and our b-ball history proves that! 03-lmfao But we want Beard’s win now attitude over Tubby’s philosophy. Sure a few people whined but there’s always a few people looking for something to whine about. Cheers Tigers.
