Best I can tell we are still playing overseas elite.

TBT sent an email saying we're playing Louisiana United. They could be wrong, but it came from the tournament themselves.

I’m definitely a fan of the elam ending. Makes for a much better game ending - gives the losing team the opportunity to tighten up on defense to win the game (and eliminates the foul fest).

I thought the game was supposed to be at 2 PM tomorrow - and I was planning to make the trip. A morning start time is problematic.

Well we will see where we stand early.

It makes me envious vcu nation got to play their game at the Stu. Unfair home court advantage - reminds me of the old caa days. I realize it’s a more central location, but only imagine if this tournament was at the Ted. Maybe next next!

Just got back from a week in Sao Paulo for business. Ugghhh, long trip, and my seventh in 10 months. But saw the game via feed this afternoon, and will be there tomorrow. Saw Keenan Palmore on the flight we had from Atlanta to Richmond this morning.

And to ODUDJ96, give the sheep some credit, they are rocking it tonight, in the middle of the summer. I give them props for making this an event. Based upon everything I have heard, the SPEW will be a site that will continue to be used in the future, as the attendance and response has been outstanding.

...they always do:) But they’re the sheep - and I will always love to hate them. I do enjoy noticing what a dump the spew is compared to the Ted! I miss being in the same conference with them and getting to play home and home. It just isn’t right to not be in the same conference.

My guess is they showed the interest in hosting and demonstrated an ability to get up for these games, which is why they're hosting. Originally they were going to be at the Arthur Ashe Center, which gross, but for whatever reason they moved it to the Stu. Maybe if ODU shows some consistency in the tournament, they can host like the Stu. Winning today certainly helped.

I'm a fan of the Elam ending after watching atl dirty south come from behind to win.

I don’t believe there is any requirement at all.

Anyone can play with any team.

Vcu has multiple players from other schools. That 7”0 kid from Akron is a stud.

I hate to say it but Vcu definitely has the more talented team.

I just hope we get past 3 time defending champs overseas elite but it seems like a bit of a long shot.

I can’t believe that Jeff Jones ran off Keenan Palmore. Watching him play with Blaine Taylor’s recruits, I can see what would have been.
