Actually not. It's the Distance Medley Relay. I know that you know the difference, but for those who don't:
Sprint Medley: 200-200-400-800 are the 4 legs, in that order
DMR: 1200-400-800-1600, in that order.
Any particular reason why the 1200 leg comes first? Sequencing seems to be different from pre-metric days, and just looks odd.

She would have been T4 in the "A" section.

RE: 2018 Texas Relays
Good question. There have been different orders of running in meets from years ago.

My guess is that it would actually keep the teams closer together longer. You're not going to sprint a 1200, so there is some strategy going into the latter half of that section, and can possibly keep it a little more exciting through the middle portion of the relay.
I have no idea if that's really the case, but that's what my mind jumps to.

RE: 2018 Texas Relays
Right now, Michelle Fokam is competing in the "A" section of the long jump.
Later (3:45), sophomore Matthew Murray will run in the Invitational Men's Mile.
Note: based on his performance last week in the 1500 meters, I'll be curious as to how close to sub-4 minutes he'll be. I think, with the right race, he can run sub-4:05.

Murray with a 4:07.93. It was more of a tactical race, so no one ran fast. He'll have opportunities to run a fast 1500 next month in California.

Michelle Fokam was 11th in the long jump with 5.79 (19' 0"). She could have done better with more attempts - she fouled on her first jump, and had only two tries to make the top 9 to advance to the finals (for 3 more jumps).

I don't know how I overlooked reporting this, but, on Saturday, Hannah Jackson was second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.05. The only one to beat her was NCAA champion Gabrielle Thomas of Harvard.
