RE: Broncos offer another Canadian
This conversation is honestly hilarious. Just more excuses and trying to spin a story to something positive when it’s anything but.
What is being said is essentially the equivalent of Andy Murray hitting the “hotbed” of recruiting hockey talent in the Caribbean.
The spin is honestly nauseating. We are recruiting Canada cause this staff for whatever reason or other excuses cannot compete with other equilvialent schools for US recruits. That’s the bottom line.

I question if heavily recruiting Canada will return WMU to MAC Championship contention in the next few years. Hopefully, it will, but I have doubts.

They offer 1-2 Canadians and Stampede goes nuts. Where is the next Buffalo star from according to Oats staff?
Hint: It's a province not a state.
16 Canadians made the dance this year. P5's and upper mid majors are cleaning up on the US recruiting trail. If Canada has players so be it. Posters claiming Laku was a failure and we shouldn't recruit in Canada are stuck in a time warp. Every MAC school has had kids from Detroit, Chicago and Indy fail. That means they shouldn't recruit in those areas? The logic around here kills me sometimes.

Spare me the drama.
Your idea of logic is blind love.
Meanwhile, the WMU basketball program that won the MAC championship just a few years ago has receeded to the point where it was beat by a shabby CMU team and appears unable to recruit strong in Michigan.
Hawk has been a great coach at WMU, but is he the leader we need to bring the Broncos BACK INTO CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENTION? I hope so, 'cause I like and respect the man. But I have my doubts, and anyone who watched the Broncos last season has them, too.

Roughly 880 players in the dance, and 16 Canucks are in it. That’s just short of 2%. That’s the ringing endorsement for Canada?
Frankly I don’t care where they come from. Sign them, develop them, keep them from leaving. Results are all that matters.

Likely Canadians on the roster next season. You'll have to grin and bear it I guess. You're copy and paste colors are cool though.

Does Izzo or Belien jump on social media pleading their case and looking for advocates? Seems like they’re above that.
Win or lose the fan base will always have opinions. Coaches shouldn’t engage them, it just comes off as petty.

Speaking of coach Dunlap
Mark Gottfried was recently hired at Cal Northridge.
JD apparently left the "Canadian hotbed" to (re)join Gottfried.
You have to wonder if that's the best career move for him.

Too cold upnorth? or the grass always looks greener over the rainbow?
I did not see reference to Dunlap with your link.

Didn't mean to infer that Dunlap is involved with with FBI investigations.
He did work for Gottfried at NCSU while this stuff occurred.
Somehow (don't ask me how) Northridge hired Gottfried a couple of weeks ago.
Gottfried then planned to hire Jim Harrick to be on his staff
Yes, this Jim Harrick
And JD is leaving his current job to join this?
