Fox News tells the truth. Now the talk shows that he would be on are a different story.
The MSM doesn't differentiate between the news and their talk shows.
As you can imagine, this sounds like nonsense to me. FOX news truthful? If you really believe this you should ask yourself if you have even a tiny bit of confirmation bias.
So, where do folks go to get Unbiased news? not left or right leaning?
That's because you are brainwashed by the MSM. We already knew that.
Britt Hume is different than Tucker Carlson and very different from Hannity. John Holt might as well be Rachael Maddow.
Hume is reliable. BBC has its biases, but is reliable. WSJ has its pro business bias, but is reliable. Other than that you need a thick filter to get through the bs. WaPo is the least bad of the MSM.
RE: Lt. Col. Ralph Peters quits Fox News // It's the little things.
There are many types of bias in the media.
1) They choose which stories to emphasize.
2) They choose which stories to even cover.
3) They choose the language in the story.
4) They choose whether to editorialize in the story.
5) They choose whether to pretend to be unbiased or acknowledge it. On talk shows if you have 4 with one viewpoint and 1 with a different one, that is a bias.
My biggest pet peeves are 3) and 4). On editorializing, you have to read carefully or know something about the topic to see it. Even AP stories are now as much editorial as news. On 3) they often make it clear they only want to reinforce biases and aren't interested in reporting by uses of extreme language. If you read the headlines on RealClearPolitics, you can see the exact opposite on the same incident.
Now the MSM failed badly in their duties (item 2)) by failing to cover (and continuing to fail to cover) the abuses of people's privacy by the Obama administration and Silicon Valley (although they finally are covering some of Silicon Valley when it connects to Trump).

I'll admit it's difficult. Most of the time it's taking both of the biased views and realizing the truth is somewhere in the middle. There's also the "sniff" test and knowing the motives behind a particular news source. Those two things usually let one know, if they want to know, right away something isn't right with the reporting. Also, if there is any sort of "outrage" then it's guaranteed to be nonsense. Basically, since it's so hard to get unbiased news, one has to actually think for his/herself to get to the truth. It's a damn shame but it's like a puzzle. Unfortunately, too many people are either lazy and/or ignorant and just take the MSM at face value hence the society we have today.

Nowhere, because there's nowhere that provides it. Fox leans right, the others lean left. You have to watch/read/listen to both sides and try to triangulate the truth.

One of my favorite local talk show hosts said it like this.....
Bias is not only the the way they report the news, but the news they choose to report. Leaving certain things out of a story is just as bias as the language used to report the story.

RE: Lt. Col. Ralph Peters quits Fox News // It's the little things.
I'm thinking the news is targeted to their audience (obviously), but I also wonder if the diminishing number of newspapers and the fact that so much media is owned now by so few companies doesn't have a detrimental effect. Lack of competition and targeted audiences can't be good for objectivity.
I looked at a web site that rates publications as right/left leaning and most unbiased. Interesting .

There are those for whom the battle is strictly about which of two approved agendas/philosophies control the establishment. An institutionalized bickerfest.
Trump is really not that important. What is important is that enough of the American people rejected the establishment itself.
When you add up the Trump and Sanders support you can see that the American people...whichever philosophy they prefer...are rejecting the establishment in great numbers.
This is because the establishment is elitist, privileged, corrupt, non-responsive, and treat us as obstacles to be manipulated. Politics is a "show" to divide and distract people while the power and dollars are fought over in the background.
Many are infuriated that their side in "the game" is being threatened by outsider barbarians.
The establishment believes that once Trump is gone then all will go back to the Bush/Clinton happy place and "the game" can restart.
But even when Trump is gone, the voters who chose Sanders and Trump are going nowhere.

Romney's 47% and Clinton's deplorables are fruits from the same tree.
A lot of Republicans agreed with Romney's comment, but didn't come out publically and say it. The Democratic establishment not only agreed with Clinton, but publically backed her. The contempt for the American people from DC IS understood by the American people.

RE: Lt. Col. Ralph Peters quits Fox News // It's the little things.
I can't remember the last time I watched the MSM. Even the local news is biased against Trump. How do I know this? I watch Fox News and I read the posts from this site. I get both viewpoints and go from there. Unfortunately, some Liberals that post here are always on the Hate Trump bandwagon so I just place them on ignore because they can become really tiresome. Especially people like David the Highwayman, he's really not very smart. At least CommieTom and GayTom seem intelligent but unfortunately lack common sense. They just follow the Peloser agenda. Tsk, too bad.

Typical response. "Yeah but". When your own people start calling out Fox, it's time to take notice.
By the way, how do people define mainstream media? Is it based on political leanings? If I'm from a left leaning organization am I msm or right leaning I'm not. does an organization have to show virtually no bias in order to escape the dreaded msm moniker.
Here is the counter to your argument:
Left leaning (or downright socialist)
CNN
CBS
NBC
ABC
MSNBC
CNBC
And EVERY SINGLE daytime and nighttime talkshow on network TV(The View, Jimmy Kimbel, etc.)
Right leaning (sometimes not, i.e. Shepard Smith)
FoxNews
How could we POSSIBLY be blamed for pulling the rope the other way? We are one against seven.
