Women's NCAA March Madness
Hope I didn't miss a women's NCAAs thread.

Nice story in the Detroit News on CMU. Think they can do for the women what UB did for the men.

They are a Cinderella.

UB women up 14 at the moment.

Saw this tweet this morning. Since the band is with the Men’s team in Boise, the Florida State Band will be playing the role if Buffalos Band today.

MAC basketball is good, y’all.

# 11 UB wins 102-79 over # 6 USF

Both CMU and UB were way underseeded.

RE: Women's NCAA March Madness
We could make a strong case that today was the biggest day in MAC women's basketball history.

Both Toledo and Kent State won first-round games in 1996, Toledo by 12 over Mississippi and KSU by four over Texas A&M. Both were 10 seeds.

Nothing like the dominance from Buffalo and CMU today.

Bowling Green is the only MAC team to win a second-round game. In 2007, they were a 7 seed and beat No. 10 seed Oklahoma State 70-66, then No. 2 seed Vanderbilt 59-56. They lost in the Sweet 16 to Arizona, 67-49.

Overall MAC record in tournament before today was 8-43, best I can tell. (Record book lists all games but didn't have overall record. I had to figure it.)

Ball State beat Tennessee as a 12 seed in 2009. Otherwise, today's two 11 seed wins were the lowest seeded teams to win. Toledo was also an 11 seed when it beat Rutgers in 1991.

Two MAC WBB games Monday on ESPN2 (there are 4 scheduled at 6:30 p.m. EDT). They may have cut-ins, etc.

DirecTV will also have them on their college sports channels (think 788 - 792).

Buffalo and CMU leading Florida State and Ohio State by double digits, respectively. About midway through both games.

S Carolina (Buffalo) and Oregon (CMU) if the teams hold on to win. So there’s no UConn buzzsaw yet. I think UConn has won about 5,000 games in a row.

MAC’s surprisingly good basketball post-season (men and women) helps soothe the surprisingly horrid football post-season (Ohio excluded).

If Buffalo makes it to the East regional final against UConn I will be impressed. Unfortunately for them they are in the East Regional final with UConn.

I pity anyone that has to play UConn, though I'd be interested to see how UB stacks up against them. Everyone who plays the Huskies looks like a team one-armed middle schoolers so there isn't a ton to be embarrassed by.

86 - 65 win for the Bulls. 04-bow On FSU's home floor yet!

CMU kicking Ohio State's butt too. Two MAC teams to the sweet sixteen!
Maybe next year MAC teams won't get underseeded.

Way to represent, ladies!! 04-cheers

Toledo could’ve pulled one out tonight and along with CMU and UB gave the conference one of its greatest nights in women’s basketball history. Sadly, Toledo just not good enough...

Holy Cow, I watched some of the UB game early. It was 20-20 and FSU seemed to have better athletes. Got back home to see the final. I can't believe the Bulls blew them out like that on FSU's home floor. And CMU doing the same. This is unreal!
