I see Ques Glover, from Bearden, who we were at least interested in way back when (don't think we ever offered (or maybe we did - don't remember)), and who was MVP of this past year's Arby's tournament, has signed with Florida. I must say that surprises me. But he had an excellent senior season.

According to verbal commits Charlie Weber has committed to ETSU.

His offer list didn’t seem that impressive considering his Virginia recruiting rank. Any ideas as to why?

The short answer is that those lists (from VerbalCommits and elsewhere) are incomplete. There are thousands of prospects and at the LM/MM level, and these sites cannot stay current. Moreover, they rely on data reported from AAU coaches, HS coaches, and the prospects themselves. So, you can imagine that this reporting is not always accurate.

I love to look at recruiting sites such as verbal commits, but take them with a grain of salt.

Do we still have a scholarship to give for this upcoming season? Say for a potential transfer.

Yes and that is what Forbes has stated he is looking for a transfer to sit a year.

we have one scholarship, Forbes has stated he isn't looking for someone who can play right away.

I would think that if we found the right athlete who fits and can start, why not.....

To many starters, not enough playing time, disgruntled players, bad team chemistry, equals losses.

If Blackshear or other high profile available late transfers end up at UT, they have no room. UT will have to say goodbye to some of their current scholarship players. Terrible it works that way. But I would think Forbes would at least be keeping an eye out for whatever happens. Just thinking out loud.
