Should we end Daylight Savings Time?
Daylight Savings Time is this Sunday. Is it really necessary to keep doing it? I think it's better to have the long days and stop messing with changing times every year.

Disregard if you like. Didn't see the Florida DST article below even thought it really isn't about it.

I'd prefer to have permanent DST so that it gets dark later (by the clock) year round.

see, we can agree on something.....

based on tilt, rotation, and location, it's 'best method' IMO as well.....

time zones are important for business coordination.....consistency is all I see that matters....

Same here. I hate how its dark at 4:30 or 5:00 in the dead of winter.

Agree 100%. Foremost winter is usually cloudy and forlornly and with the dark coming at such an early hour it doesn't help things. It is said that if we didn't go fall back that kids would be going to school at a really dark time. I don't know what the solution should be but something's gotta give.

Don't care if kids are leaving for school in the dark. Might have been a safety concern back when we all walked but since they're all such precious cargo that has to be taxied every where now a days, what's the problem.

The 3 or 4 that like going out doors to play would like the extra hour of light too, same as us. 03-wink

That was a great movie! Just because they ban Huck Finn doesn't mean you should ban Bill Murray.

Just like unions, at one time it had a purpose and served it's purpose. Now, both just annoy the hell out of everyone and cause unnecessary inconveniences.

I would rather stay on one time year round, although I might be more open to keeping Daylight Savings Time if Louisville returned to the Central Time Zone. Having grown up in Alabama, I hate how late the sun comes up here in the winter, and right after the time change in March.

Utah politicians want to go on one year round, but they want Utah on CST. Stupid idea as we are in the Western end of mountain zone.
