RE: How bad will it be tomorrow?
I said earlier we would make this an interesting game. Ball doesn’t stick without Martin out there and that’s what needs to happen against Cincy.

It wasn't ball movement it was shot making...

7 3's in the first half 42 points

0 3's the second half 18 points...5 made baskets and one of them was a goaltend

It was ball movement that led to open shots. Common sense basketball.

Ball movement pretty much died in the first 10 mins of 2nd half. Cincy tightened the noose and we went back to dribble..dribble...pound...pound
Last 10 mins, ball movement improved slightly but it was too late.

Best possible outcome aside from winning the whole thing and going on an inexplicable winning streak through the Dance. They played hard, earned respect, and now we move on.

I agree ball movement was better in the first half...

But everything tends to look better when your shots are going in. Once the 3's stopped falling everything was over.

Respectfully disagree
It was very difficult to get good looks in the first 10 mins of 2nd half as the ball got stuck. It’s very easy to defend when guys aren’t getting free off ball movement. Cincy adjusted and we didn’t adjust to their defensive intensity.

I don't think Tulsa had to worry about that while missing all those freethrows but maybe they were looking really ahead.

Did they take a Insanity class at halftime?

Because that is when they got destroyed...Directly after getting a 20+ minute rest.

Some things you cant adjust to...

That is like saying a boxer didn't adjust to the other guy being faster, stronger and more skilled than him...The only adjustment is to avoid getting knocked out.

They were clearly the better team

We even fell down in the second half. I'm hoping Rivers is OK..He looked very woozy being led off.

What they did in the first half took it out of them for the second half. Call it what you want (shot their wad, etc) but being a half step slower in the second half killed them against Cincy. When your legs start to go your shot goes first then the rest starts to crumble as you overplay trying to get things going.

Cincy is the much better team but it shouldn’t take 10 mins to adjust to their defensive intensity.

They were the better team and they showed it in the second half...It is really simple.

There is a ton of evidence that points to that.
