Disappointed that loyola lost to michigan but not surprised. Loyola went cold in a way that reminded slightly of uc

Nova putting on a clinic. The game of Basketball has changed dramatically the last 10 years. Coaches that dont put a premium on passing and shooting will get left behind.

It's like i said a while back, there are not a lot of looks over to the bench on Nova's part when they are coming up the floor, they load up and fire. That said, they have had 3 or 4 stinkers this year where they do not go in and they go down. Wright will probably keep his fingers crossed that they do not go cold after hitting 18 tonight.

So...we're advocating for a coaching change? I suppose a program is larger than one man. Who would we get though?

How about Jay Wrights right hand man, Ashley Howard? I made a long list of other candidates on another thread. No reason to be so doom and gloom that Mick is our only hope. Happy Easter everyone!

College teams are playing more like the Warriors nowadays. That said, I still believe the Tony Bennet system can, and will, win a championship.

Nova was insane last night. Fun team to watch. They average 87 ppg, average margin of victory in the tourney is 18.4.

A shooting machine. Arcade-like. 7 guys that can shoot. Who needs a 12-15 foot jumper when you can make a trey without thinking.

And once again, for the 10th time in eleven years the national champion ended the regular season in the top 25 in both AdjO and AdjD in the KenPom rankings.

I'm about as optimistic as anyone but without Evans we're not getting a protected seed unless we get a high impact player this spring.

You don't win titles without being able to shoot the 3, and I don't mean just statistically. You have to have players who can shoot it with confidence, against good defenses, in the closing minutes of big games.

I enjoyed watching Villanova on offense. They attack a lot early in the shot clock, space the floor....
In any event, interesting interview with Jay Wright. I don't know how his philosophy has changed over the years (or if it has always been the same).

Granted, praise can be fleeting... but it just looks like his teams WANT to attack you offensively from the second they cross the half court stripe.

I notice the opposite with nova. I'm always amazed at how great they are at getting a good look late in the shot clock. Nova and uc had basically identical offensive tempo numbers this season.... Nova is great at breaking teams down late... moving the ball and getting a great look. They are patient... don't play all that fast but always seem to break you down and get a look.

To this effect, they're also quite good at making that extra pass late in the shot clock. With our guys, 4 seconds left meant giving the ball to Evans and letting him throw up a prayer. With them, it meant finding a guy open on the perimeter and sinking a late 3.

Is that the AdjT column in KenPom for tempo? It can't be that, it says UC was #330 in the nation for possessions per 40 minutes (adjusted)?
#330 out of 351 is slow tempo/pace. I see Virginia was #351 (last) in KenPom Tempo/Pace.
