Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas can argue and bicker all they want. None of them have anything on North Carolina.

Blue Ridge Mountains, Smoky Mountains... Outer Banks... pretty perfect place. You've got gorgeous mountains and hundreds of miles of coastline. Hard to beat - but one of the benefits of living on the coast.

+2 for literary reference. . .

Ol Roy Rogers put it best:
The Okies moving from Oklahoma to California raised the intelligence of both states.

Hey, come on now guys - let's not diss Kansas too much.

Look at what they gave us:

I don't get that impression at all but my travels in Kansas mostly involve the eastern half. Western Kansas is where things get desolate. I drove to Dodge City once - OMFG. I wanted to die.

we were driving from junk city to the tallgrass prairie which is like an hour or something and the nothingness. godamn i said

for all the states chiming in claiming superiority over the other (not sure what north caroliny had to do with this delicate conversation), if you don't want to visit ohio, i don't blame you. i'm forced to love the state and i can certainly point you in the right (or wrong) directions. but i can tell you i love the river, though, my heart does yearn for my native north dakota

dodge city's been on my bucket list

For me, I want to go to Devils Tower, Wyoming and climb that thing. It's been, like, in my dreams and stuff. I see it everywhere.

Would you believe that I have never seen snow and I have never seen a mountain ?

It's true. Born here in Central Florida and have never left. Hell, I haven't been on a plane or out of the state in nearly 30 years.

I have seen a grey alien though. When I was 8. In an orange grove. It saw me. I saw it. It put up its hand to wave hi and then it vanished into thin air. Freaked me out even till this day. When it "hit" me what I had just seen I ran screaming out of the grove and never dared go back. Still not sure what the hell it really was but I had never seen anything like it before and I haven't seen anything like it since. My old man till this day claims I saw "a Chinaman".

Maybe. If you are going to move to AK, you gotta live in the unorganized borough.
