Lately Tulsa always seems left out of a lot of the forum lists for better or worse.

Tulsa fans are far more stoic in the face of mediocrity than most.

Maybe. Maybe not. Regardless, don't chalk up a win before the tip off.

RE: 2/17 AAC Basketball Games
Every Tulsa fan knew this was the end of the rebuild. Most expected a NIT/NCAA bubble type team and to see progress in year three since we lost 7 seniors. Hard to expect a team to play top level ball with so many new people. Even this year 3 of our top 7 have been New comers. When you recognize the process is easy to be patient and enjoy progress.
Next year we will expect an NCAA team and will be more critical. Don't misunderstand we all screamed about the season opening loss. (Nobody cares about Lamar!!11) That loss is proving to be a huge issue for our post season hopes.
Our conference losses haven't been bad teams to lose to though some have looked ugly. Twice to WSU with a chance to tie at the buzzer in Tulsa. A beat down from Houston on the road. A close loss to Temple on the road. I expect all three to be in the tournament so I don't think they're bad ones. I think you have to hold serve at home and don't like the WSU loss. The loss at Memphis is meh. We win out at home and lose to Cincy on the road and I will consider conference season an overall success. Play in the post season and I will feel super good about next year.

17-9 with four to go. A big stretch, but any chance UCF gets on the Bubble if they finish up 21-9 going into the Conference Tourney? That would include three good wins (sorry Tulane) out of the last four.

Does this really need to be said every ucf game? Yes, a team with a bottom 100 offense, 7th best defense in the country, and 315th slowest tempo is going to be ugly. Not to mention playing against a team without their 2 best players
Yes, it does need to be said every game:
UCF, ugly, ugly hoops
SMU, if we didn’t have injuries
UH, refs call too many fouls ( or attendance)
UConn, fire Ollie!
Temple, I cannot understand this team
Wichita, we are not so self-overrated!
UC, respect us! Please!
USF, actually what is there to say?
ECU, when does football season start
Memphis, fire Tubby; no, wait build a Tubby statue!
Tulane, wait until next year
Come to think of it do we even have a dedicated usf basketball fan here?

Very much yes. They and SMU are the best shots after Temple. SMU having Milton back would really help. UCF injuries might help push them over if it's close with another school and UCF finishes strong. Both are long shots right now. Tulsa is a lottery ticket though sooooo. . .
AAC has 3 locks and a probable.

Probably not NCAA but possibly a 1 or 2 seed in the NIT.

We are all just happy baseball is here. Basketball is more competitive in the league lately than football is under Mo.

I will be really surprised if we're an NCAA at large team next season. Haith's crap non - conferences combined with the fact that we'll lose 2 of our top 4 scorers and we're expecting to replace that production with JUCO's / transfers who haven't played a competitive basketball game in a year and a half doesn't bode well. Somebody is going to have to REALLY step up next season for us to get to the dance. Hopefully it's a guy like Taplin or Jeffries.
