If we fired Tubby and hired Penny, does Alex Lomax switch his commitment? Do the Lawson’s make their way back?

Possibly Lomax. Doubtful with the two Lawsons that were already here. The one in high school, sure.

Not trying to argue but... why would Marshall allow Lomax to transfer to Memphis considering Wichita State is in our conference?

Another question to ask is... if we hire Penny can he bring in Tyler Harris, Wiseman, C. Lomax, and Dandridge? If the answer is yes and Penny said he could bring them with him, it’s a no-brainer. You hire Penny. Period. Nobody wins without talent.

I am not sure Penny wants the job and if he wants the job I am not sure he is the best option.

Couple of Dudes who can bust TREYS. He will do well with the coaching end, but will be the best, recruiter we've had. Not counting cal, he's the best in ncaa history

To answer your first part, he wants the job.

Timing is going to be the issue. If we end the Orlando fiasco this year then Penny will have to step away from his AAA team and some of those player will drift away to other teams. If we allow Orlando fiasco to go on another year then some of the current team Penny players will sign else where before we announce the hire.

Then we still have the TSSAA lawsuit in play and how it will playout.

Penny is already an Ambassador and current friend of the program, so he should already have some influence ... Why aren't these guys committing to the Tigers now ?? Whether he is an actual coach at the University or not; he should be able to steer players our way, no matter who is coaching or what the situation is; and he hasn't been able to ... That's the main reason I question him as being the right person for a coaching position ...

Marshall may be the coach at Louisville next year. At least that's what they are hoping.

It is extremely rare for a coach to put restrictions on a player got getting out of his LOI...

Word on the street is TSSAA looking at suspending Penny from coaching anywhere in TN for 1-3 years, so Memphis is out.
