that's not what I have been hearing about ECU football from the fans on this board. According to them ECU is on par with Boise state. 50,000 strong am I right?05-stirthepot

You need to read more closely and toss out the nut cases. Most of us know the deal. That whole Heisman thing a couple of years ago was one moonbat. The rest of us knew it was nuts.

I was just messing around!02-13-banana04-cheers

ECU needs to hire JMU's coach, Mike Houston. He has coached three teams to a a national championship appearance, one in D2 and two at the FCS with JMU. That's all within the last 8 years. The guy is a winner and whipped up on ECU this year.

Why would he leave a job where he can win a national championship for a job where he can't?

its the truth. That's why our football coaches are always leaving this conference. Almost all of us have had a coach ditch us for greener pastures. (personally I didn't think Maryland was better option then UConn in 2010 but whatever)

I think he was hoping that a couple high-quality years at Maryland would land him a Top 30 job. Maryland is simply another stepping stone kind of job (above the G5, but far below the actual Power schools).

UConn hurts the league the most. They are supposed to be a basketball brand and building our TV ratings. Sucks we are going into the negotiations with Memphis and UConn sucking.

UCONN MBB ratings are still top 4 in the conference. Hell, UCONN WBB ratings are better than over half of the MBB league.

ECU is paying Coach Mo about $1 million/ year compared to Mike Houston at JMU at around $500k. Funny because JMU's athletic revenue is more than ECU's. Their revenue subsidy is around $38 million compared to ECU's $19 million. That's about $650 per student at ECU and about $1680 at JMU.

And yes, ECU is deeper in the crapper.

Because people still probably UCONN Men are good. It takes a few years for the general public to catch on. Fix the program while there's still time.04-cheers
