RE: AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
Still looking at somewhere between three and five bids. Once again the teams that finish third through fifth in the league are going to have between 10 to 13 wins. I believe Houston will do enough to get into the tournament. SMU has some quality wins but desperately needs to find a to the 10-11 league win mark to back in the mix. UConn has a couple of big games coming up but they have to beat Memphis first.

That fish head Lunardi was at the Dayton game last night talking about how all the so called power conferences are going to suck up the majority of the bids, blah, blah, blah. I hope we get at least 4 in. Can't stand that Jackwagon.

if UConn goes crazy and finishes conference play strong. I think they could sneak in if they win a few games in the conference tourny

If UConn gives the selection committee any excuse to give ya'll a bid they will. It's just so sad that you guys suck. It's like pissing away your birthright.

P.S. I listened to Ollie give an interview during the Tulane game today and he sounded dumb as a box of rocks. I mean he seemed barely qualified to be a DOBO. WTF was Calhoun thinking? GD I hope it wasn't a decision based on race.

We're realistically looking at 3 bids and maybe a 4th if SMU/UCF plays really strong going forward.

UConn is definitely improving but still are in the "no shot" category for me.

UCONN's RPI jumped 47 spots after wins vs UCF and at Tulane. Now at 73.

Would woulda thought?

Can you imagine this year WITHOUT the Shockers?

We'd be hoping and praying for a 3rd bid, but likely stuck at 2 again.

If we get 4, it will be because our conference SOS was improved by adding the Shockers.

It's a win-win. WSU wouldn't have as strong of a conference schedule in the Valley which would affect seeding. Plus the close competitive games will only help strengthen them.

AAC would have 1 less bid and 1-2 less possible games against a team that can boost their resume. Couldn't have happened at a better time for all involved.

True story. The Valley's looking quite messy this year.

NCAA Probable: Houston (RPI is what stops me from putting Coogs as lock)

Solid NIT squads: SMU, UCF

Probably get into the NIT because of their name: Memphis, Uconner

No shot at anything: Tulslane

Horrible losing record squads: Temple, ECU

Chicago St bad: USF

So 3....maybe 2 if Coogs can’t finish.

Similar to what I think, only I think just one of Memphis/UConn will make it, if even one. They have to play each other twice yet. If one sweeps, the other is out.

Not trying to cause issues but if the AAC only where to get three, does that not really hurt them since the idea of a Power Bball conference. The idea behind adding WSU that the conference should get no fewer than four bids in any year?

The AAC can only. Go up from here. Hence it was still a good addition. Plus the best media coverage for 2 final 4 quality teams has been fantastic.

RE: AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
CBS Sports (Jerry Palm) latest bracket has WSU as a 2 seed, UC as a 5 seed and UH as a 9 seed: https://www.cbssports.com/college-basket...cketology/

He states the following: the Shockers are solidly on the two-line and Cincinnati comes in at a No. 5 seed. Houston is also in the bracket and UCF is not far away. Temple has the No. 1 overall schedule and wins over Auburn and Clemson, but at 8-9, the Owls are a long winning streak from making a run at the field.
