Wichita, Cincinnati and SMU.

Bubble team
Houston

UCF is a darn solid NIT team. The rest of the league is hot garbage this year and ECU and USF should drop basketball.

I've been sticking with 3 all year. After this shocker beat down of Houston I'm sticking to it. Coogs don't look like a tournament team.

Bump.
I’ve said 3 all year. I hope I’m not wrong and it’s only 2.

For sure NCAA: Wichita St, Cincinnati

Probably: SMU

Solid Nit teams: Houston, UCF, Memphis

Nope: Temple, Uconned, Tulslane

Should drop basketball: ECU, USF

RE: AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
Worst-case scenario is 2 bids (WSU and UC). No one else would be truly “safe” if the Selections were announced tonight.

Chance of at least one at-large bid: 100%
At least two: 65%
At least three: 35%
At least four: 5-10%
More than four: <0.1%

I actually think Houston is more likely than SMU at this point

On what planet is Houston on the same level as Memphis this season? Certainly not earth.

Absolutely. Maybe he meant to switch Memphis and Temple? Houston should be in the probably category, over SMU even, I agree.

The range of NCAA Tourney bids for the AAC is two to four schools with SMU and Cincy locks and SMU and Houston with a fighting chance.

I think Houston is also in right now but they have a little to be nervous about.

UCF & Temple have work to do but can make it with a good showing in conference play.

Houston will get a bid.

It's SMU that needs to hump it. Jankovic is returning to his comfort zone of 10-14 losses per year. The Mustangs are about to be 2-4 in league play and 12-7 on the year after Wednesday's loss at Wichita St. Thank goodness the Mustangs have some nice preseason wins.

UCF is a longshot, but it can happen.

No one else has a chance.

I think a 3rd bid is a virtual lock. Someone will emerge as the third (most likely smu). I think a 4th bid is probably 60/40. A tiny chance at a 5th... likely at the expense of uc/wichita seeding

UCF is a threat for the autobid if they get Taylor back in time to get in playing shape, IMO.

I think the 3rd bid is 60-40. Probably Houston, as of this morning.

I think the 4th bid is a long shot.

Not a good situation, especially considering we just added Wichita. Just not a strong year for the AAC.

3 bids but if things break perfectly 4 or if the wheels fall off i could see 2.

If they lose their next game, SMU has no room for error. They need to hold serve against everyone not named Wichita and UC after losing 4 straight.

Pretty much how I see it. Three bids likely, 4 a real stretch.

Hold serve? I thought we were talking about basketball? How did tennis enter the conversation? That said, has tennis season started? How are 'we' doing?

I think we did ok. Then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if the AAC doesn’t even sponsor tennis as I know nothing about the sport at all.

4 bids, with at least 1 maybe 2 in the NIT.

WSU, UC, UH, UCF- NCAA
SMU, Memphis- NIT

NCAA Tourney Locks: Wichita, Cincy

NCAA Probable: Houston (RPI is what stops me from putting Coogs as lock)

Solid NIT squads: SMU, UCF

Probably get into the NIT because of their name: Memphis, Uconner

No shot at anything: Tulslane

Horrible losing record squads: Temple, ECU

Chicago St bad: USF

So 3....maybe 2 if Coogs can’t finish.
