RE: UCF national champs!
What week of the season you lose shouldn't matter.

Clemson loses to Syracuse in early October and is out of the running but since they lost early, they have time to move all the way up to the one seed. I'm not sure with what I saw last night they warranted the one seed.

Ohio State loses to Oklahoma early and then Iowa 5 weeks before the end of the season...Alabama loses in its last game of the year and people in Columbus act like its the end of the world.

Easy on the common sense. I know it feels good now but using it consistently can lead to long term side effects like frustration, restlessness and irritation. Continued use can even lead to depression, rage and constipation.

Maybe they repurpose the "Civil ConFLict" trophy that Bob Diaco rigged up.

Alabama getting into the NC game is particularly galling. Talk about backing in. What does it say when a school who was on the outside looking in going into the championship game weekend comes out on the other end with a berth in the playoffs? They were rewarded for sitting at home and doing absolutely nothing. Also, their committee is a complete joke. I mean, Condoleeza Rice? 01-wingedeagle She has the exact same qualifications as I do to sit on that committee, which is zero.

Condy Rice? She was selected for the Committee for her integrity. She was also mentioned as a candidate for NFL Commissioner a few years ago. So, yes, Condoleeza Rice.

they won't do that until the G5 start their own playoff voluntarily. You watch. The P5 is waiting for this G5 playoff so the true division can happen and then they will expand their playoff. The AAC is in the way of this because Aresco said the AAC will not participate in a G5 playoff...which they need us to be in it. ESPN knows this. Will be interesting to see if ESPN submarines the AAC by pulling a couple teams to the P5 to weaken it ala Big East/ACC.

Please. As far as I know, she's never worked in an athletic department at any level, never coached football at any level, never played football at any level, never worked in the media covering sports at any level. She may have qualifications for plenty of jobs, but this ain't one of them.

She no longer is on the committee. Prior to her political career, she was on the faculty at Stanford for 20 years, where she served as Provost. Frankly, I find the outside view refreshing compared to all the other voices which were former coaches and ADs at cartel schools

So to chain on that idea a little further, how about UC and UCF right away to expand the Big 12 into Ohio and Florida. I believe those would instantly be the 3rd and 2nd largest population states respectively, in that conference. Think those two bricks out of the AAC foundation would cause the house to crumble and send Aresco scrambling for the G5 playoff deal?

Silly. But fits with the P6 theme within the AAC.

NO doubt about it UCF is the National Champion in college football for 2017-18 season. Anyone who thinks otherwise is selling something.

I don't think it really matters at this point, they've done all they can do. Rubbing their season in the faces of the rest of college football takes away legitimacy from the acknowledged champion, in the incredibly likely event it's not UCF. They should be as loud and obnoxious about it as possible. Leave them with a gigantic ugly asterisk next to the seasons final rankings/polls. Engineered controversy should never be quiet. Especially when it's the bias and tilt of the league itself that brought about such an issue.

In reality, no. In the minds of people, most of whom are entirely irrational? I think it might. Certainly couldn't hurt.
