Pakistan has been playing all sides. Trump is right, but a relatively stable Pakistan is definitely in the US's best interest.

Yeah, I think everyone with a brain figured Pakistan was playing us for a fool when we found Bin Laden lounging around in a Pakistan military town. Gotta give them credit though. They took our money and still gave us the middle finger. Glad we finally have a POTUS to call them out and stop given them money to hurt us.

I still love how Bin Laden was chilling in a mansion a few miles from a major Pakistani military base. Good times.

The clincher in all this is that Pakistan came out saying that they don't need our money. That's good to hear because when we withdraw our money it shouldn't hurt their feelings. Verdad?

When I read the $33 BILLION amount I thought to myself: "Self, why in the heck are we giving away that kind of jack when we're running a deficit?"

Now, I get that politicians (yes, both Dems and Reps) love to increase spending beyond tax revenue but this has to STOP.

No more bribes masked as foreign aid.

When you go into a restaurant do you tip the wait staff before getting your meal? Of course not! So why should this foreign policy be any different? It shouldn't. No foreign country that is getting aid from us should be getting any money until the year is over. That way we can assure that the cooperation that we get is for OUR best interest. Hey, it's our money, the taxpayers money and not the governments. The people should be getting something in return.

...and if they don't like it...TOUGH!

Let's be honest. IMO, much of the "aid" going to all ME countries is nothing more than a bribe. See no reason to cut out the waste and actually help the ones (if there are any) that are actually on our side.

Here's the problem. Without Pakistan helping us and allowing overflights and truck convoys, we can't get into Afghanistan.

We haven't gotten "nothing." But we sure haven't gotten what we paid for. They are allowing terrorist bases and some of their intelligence and military are assisting them in killing Americans and destabilizing Afghanistan.

And Pakistan is paying with their own terrorism. The scary part is a Taliban like takeover of Pakistan, a nuclear armed Muslim nation with a very hostile relationship with a nuclear armed neighbor.

We need to be tougher with Pakistan, but its still a balancing act.
