A grave error on your part, my son. Very grave indeed.

As we all know by now the PAC XII owns its own network “The PAC XII Network”. In addition the National Network the PAC XII has (6) Regional Networks. These networks are all carried by most major television partners, with the exception of DirectTV. The issues with the PAC XII Network are well documented, and easily found. The PAC XII has very legitimate reasons for ownings its own network, and one day they may long term profit from being the primary owners. The issue is can they survive in the short and medium term while Major Broadcast Companies work against them.
So who is working against the PAC XII? As we all know ESPN for the most part owns exclusive rights to the ACC and SEC. ESPN shares rights for the Big XII, Big X, and PAC XII, while holding primary rights for the majority of the G5 Conferences. This will change as ESPN has the rights to the Longhorn Network and now via its purchase of Fox Regional Networks the majority of the Big XII 3rd tier rights. ESPN will push the Big XII for exclusivity once the Big XII current television contracts expire. If successful ESPN will own the majority of the primary rights of three of the five power 5 conferences. Keep in mind the Big X television rights expire before the Big XII, granted Fox Sports is a major partner of the Big X Network. Also, we must take into consideration the fact ESPN is working with the AAC on their Power 6 campaign. Why? Simply put more control, more money, dominance of college football. ESPN is not remiss to the fact the hurdles forthcoming to the NFL. So the PAC XII will have enormous pressure as one of 5 or 6 power conferences owning its own network, lagging behind the others in revenue. It’s really simple economics!
Anyone who doesn’t believe ESPN doesn’t support the AAC effort for a P6 membership is VERY nieve! After all ESPN came up with the term and is promoting the term.
This good for the AAC short term, mid-term, and long term.
What ESPN can’t control is a Big XII play on the AAC or other non-primary ESPN conference play on the AAC.

Those who don't believe ESPN is supporting the AAC are snow? Interesting.
