It's elementary----players learn that in pop warner----he deserves to be second guessed.

ISU beat #2 Oklahoma on the road, and #13 TCU ( held them to 7 points)just in case we’ve forgotten. Their losses were close.

We acquitted ourselves well.

Not having Henderson available changed our offensive scheme PLUS their defensive sets. This was a severe disadvantage for Memphis.

Tuff break and such is life.

I read and posted that before the game started and said not good...prob cost us a w cause it's hard to take out a guy who averages almost 9 yards a carry out of your lineup and not miss a beat.

First is the weather conditions and second the 3-3-5 is not designed to stop the run. They took away our usual routes by dropping 8 on most plays.

We were running it pretty good one series when we kept their 2nd team DL on the field. But we delayed the snap in between plays and allowed them to get their first string DL back on the field.

Hey I also think that Ferguson wearing gloves for the first time made a big difference. He overthrew open receivers on long attenpts several times. Normally those throws would have been on the money and generated scores.

On plays where he had time to throw he was on target. Several of those overthrow he was forced to throw it before he was ready due to pressure.
He only missed on 4 passes until late when they started sending the house on almost every play.

For whatever reason he didn't close them up either, they were hanging wide open.

Haven't we used a couple of running plays for Pollard and Miller during the year? Did we use those at all?

Tried a run sweep to Miller once to the short side. He fumbled it out of bounds.

No,I mean on his decision making cause great coaches aren't born over night...let's see if he improves on certain areas...I'm glad he's our coach though.

Our first time on a bigger stage. Give us time. We will be bigger, stronger and more experienced.

That's why we didn't hear about his injury until today.

Great crowd, great atmosphere, great game. We made it very interesting until the very end, very entertaining, about as good an outcome as possible outside of winning the game. Plus, we locked up Norvell for the near future. I'll sleep well tonight.

I am older than most on this board and no one calls a perfect game, but the coach did not kill us...

For pete's sake I hope the players don't see this! This was a dadgum good team we lost to, not shame on our part for this lost. Coaching killed us, by golly it was the coaching that got us here in the first place. Go root for UT if you want bad coaching!
