i think it has everything to do with luck. you being a white male at this day in age is luck. these can be your dilemmas. straight white people be packing. the quote unquote developed world being caucasian illustrates what exclusive company you hold. what's so wrong with shaking your world up a bit?

No, me being a white male in this day and age is because of genetics.

Me making something out of myself despite losing my father at a young age wasn't luck either. That was hard work.

Me not falling into the trap of drugs that so many I went to school with wasn't luck either. That was self-control.

My neighbor, who is black, making something of himself wasn't luck either. That too was hard work.

In this world if you are counting on luck you'll likely never make anything of yourself. If you have the work ethic and self-discipline to see things through you'll likely succeed in life.

If you don't you make excuses and talk about "bad luck"

not exactly what i'm talking about. i'm talking about slavery and the various holocausts, genocides, etc. that's the bad luck i'm talking about. i'm not talking about you waking up and doing something about it. i'm probably not explaining myself very well, even though you wouldn't agree with me if i was completely coherent. there may come a time western civilization and all it's white people are unfairly driven underground. you'll pine for these petty squabbles. i'm not saying it should happen, i'm not saying it's fair. just saying, it could happen. but that's probably why you want to do something about it

we all see what has been and will be moving forward......shockingly, there are a plenty pale skins that are okay with that.....

what becomes tiring is the bs banter......we're flat out sick of that crap......

this is the fokking 21st century.....and trust me, I'm much more shite hammered than you are.......

why can't things get worse?

personally, i think liberalism is more hilarious than dangerous. it's good entertainment

You mean slavery like my Irish ancestors endured when they migrated to the new world? Or genocide like they endured from Cromwell's Parliamentarian army in the mid 1600's? Well I guess they could have sat on their asses and said "Oh woe is me. We have such bad luck" but evidently it's a good thing they overcame it with hard work and determination.

Again, if you are relying on luck to get ahead in life then you best have your list of excuses ready for why you are stuck at the bottom.

Farmers market aren't racist, but they certainly seem to be pretentious, overpriced, and filled with a lot of people who look like they're Hillary-voting, NPR-listening, Subaru-driving, shop-local, small-liberal-arts-college grads whose experience with the underclass is having a minority serving a craft sour beer at the new fusion pop-up restaurant.

Thank you. I knew you’d get that one. Thankfully, the jokes almost write themselves sometimes.

Maybe in Urban areas. Nothing like that where I live. Of course there are not many Subaru driving Libs around here either.

tomorrow should easily kick-start another year of pick-em up fodder.....

it's the REAL fight between what has to happen, or what will eventually happen.....metaphorically, it's line 1b) vs. 1c)

Not the one in my burg... Some of the food is a bit pricey, but not too much and the variety is far greater than I can find at cub.

Here either, except for the one the town runs.

Went to one yesterday to get a bundle of collards. Got some wild hog ribs and a deer tenderloin on the smoker. When I put the collards on gonna start a pot of black eyed peas and some cornbread. Eat till I'm miserable then watch the Sugar Bowl. Happy New Years y'all!

That’s actually the type of market the profs were talking about. Now you go to long standing ones and those in smaller areas and they are pretty down to earth. Go to a newer one that’s meant to revive an area with its trendiness then you get the Panera pretentiousness.

no question....it becomes cost of living vs. cost of living vs. proximity....

ours in the 'burg are as fair and equitable as it comes.....

therefore, it becomes the deeper issue of some states or urban centers that are inflated relative to wages.....

spending power is relative...
