NFL Cancels Final Sunday Night Game
I haven't watch the NFL this season, and was surprised when I saw this article. First, I didn't realize the season was over already. Second, I knew people like me have become frustrated with the league, and fewer were watching, but I didn't realize the NFL ratings were down 9% this season. I have to believe the already slumping ratings were a big factor in the NFL not wanting to take a further hit on New Year's Eve.

RE: NFL Cancels Final Sunday Night Game
I had mentioned this previously in the Baltimore Ravens thread I think it was. Surprisingly, NBC still hasn't mentioned what they're going to air instead of football (you go to nbc.com and look up their schedule and it still shows the football game). Apparently the last time NBC had a Sunday night game on New Years Eve was 2007 and it was Brett Favre's final game as a Green Bay Packer, and the ratings were bad back then too.
You can't blame NBC for not wanting to show a game this year. Maybe they'll air the Colin Kaepernick story in its place.

This makes the CFP decision a couple of years ago to move games off the new years eve timeslot even more dumb. When the NFL can't compete on that night you can't either

The best part is he considers himself some sort of martyr of grandeour. When in fact, he antagonized police, more than half the country, openly celebrated our nation's enemies... but somehow he's the victim.
We already know his "experiences". Mixed race kid, adopted into an upper-middle class home, excelled in athletics, GIVEN a top-notch education, afforded the opportunity to play a sport for a living (something many young boys and girls dream of doing), paid multi-millions, and then pissed it all away by being attacking the one patriotic event during a football game. Let's remember... he didn't stand to lose anything by his actions and didn't think he would. He chose to protest a song. He didn't protest his own playing time. He didn't refuse to take the field. He didn't refuse his paycheck. He chose to protest a song, knowing it would anger people. Yet, he's shocked when that anger combined with his sharp decline in on-field production resulted in his inability to be on an NFL roster.
What a tool.

Nah. He should advertise irritating and non-working douche bags. Maybe even start his own company called "Scratch yo' Snatch". He certainly has trained his whole life for such an opportunity.

RE: NFL Cancels Final Sunday Night Game
NFL Christmas day ratings down
NBA ratings up on same day despite NFL competition
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/...istmas-day
You can debate the cause but the NFL is facing some struggles, many of which are self inflicted
When these jokers go on strike in 2020, the golden goose will be cooked

I heard last night in the local sports segment that the XFL was springing up again. I wonder if that's due to the Nfl ratings.
