Toledo looks like an FCS team right now...

As giddy as I was watching CMU look like fools yesterday I am as upset about Toledo getting smacked around tonight...

I'm not all that surprised. That MAC isn't good, and it gets proven every bowl season. That's why it's a bit frustrating being a mediocre program in this conference.

Toledo can't even stop a 3 man rush...

App State just gashing Toledo's defense now... that Toledo defense has spent quite a bit of time on the field tonight...

Toledo is thanking goodness for the early signing period... got all the recruits signed before they played this game...

I really hope that Tim and his staff are watching what App State is doing defensively tonight... and taking notes.

Not so certain it is scheme as much as it has been total physical domination. App. St. has been dominate in the trenches.

Another embarrassing loss for the MAC.

Something mental goes on leading up to a bowl game. Obviously ASU is not 34 points better than UT, mano a mano. I’m just curious why this happens to MAC teams so often in bowls. ‘Just happy to be there’?

Sure hope NIU looks better against Duke! Not holding my breath.

Sun Belt > MAC this year.

MAC schools are just happy to be vacationing somewhere warm. They can't focus on the game.

This is lack of preparation, emotion, too much fun in the sun, underestimating opponent, or something along those lines.

If I were a Toledo fan I’d be highly upset with the coaching staff right about now. This wasn’t some September OOC game buried on ESPN3. It’s the only gig on Saturday night, ESPN.

IIRC, the Texas Bowl was our only bowl where we didn’t show up at all. Thankfully all the rest of them have been entertaining. Pizza, International and Cotton were 1 score games, and of course we won Bahamas.

Yes it is. Honestly, that set the tone. We had a good team that year, and that missed catch was early but a huge play. Was perfectly thrown ball, and landed right in his hands in full stride. Easy touchdown. Rice had one of it's best teams that year.

I wonder if Toledo's coach was shopping himself around the past few weeks, rather than putting full effort into getting his team prepared. I have never seen a Toledo team play that poorly.
