RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
Looks like Kardi had FBS offers from Fresno State (including our former OL coach Ryan Grubb) and Coastal Carolina.

JUCO OL.
6'4 280 Reedley College CA not Sure what other offers he had Played high school football in WA
Welcome!
Big win over Fresno St. to get this kid. Shows really good feet and athleticism in his film. Huge position of need at LT. Let him and Dooley fight it out for the starting LT spot. Sow is returning with the most reps at the position, but he gets beat a lot on the pass rush because the feet and quickness just aren't there. Move him inside and he'd be a great run blocking mauler, and wouldn't have to worry about the outside speed rush at LT.
Also hearing Shawn Simeon may be ready to step up and challenge for a starting DE spot this year.

Wolverines add in-state walk-on
Zack Conti, a 6-foot-7, 293-pound senior offensive tackle from Trenton has committed to Michigan as a preferred walk-on. Conti was previously committed to Eastern Michigan as a preferred walk-on.
Conti helped his Trojan squad reach the second round of the playoffs his senior season.
Per his Twitter, Conti re-commits to EMU. I assume as a PWO again.

Harbaugh probably back to his old tricks.

I'm interested in how this kids decision making worked. Committed to EMU as a PWO then flipped to UM then flipped back. Like you though I suspect Harbaugh screwed him somehow.

100%. Not sure why a prospect like this would ever commit to UM as PWO, other than the photo op, or maybe some family ties. Very, very, very unlikely he would ever break the 2 deep and earn a scholly at UM.........vs. maybe a 25% chance to earn a scholarship and see the field at EMU.
Good luck to him at EMU!

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
Michigan has been blanket offering many kids a PWO provided they get into the university on their own. He maybe didn't get in to uofm on his own.
Uofm have a "manager" program to get around the roster limit rules where first year guys our "managers"

JUCO QB. Will be a junior.
Just checked his profile: 3 for 2.
Sounds like a redshirt candidate in 2019.

It's such a great thing to see. Actual competition at QB spots.

Merritt saw action yesterday and got in on a sack. With him, Haney, Hunt, Woo, and the others there is a chance that the DT position could improve next year. DT, DE, and LB need to be a recruiting priority though. A JUCO recruit capable of contributing immediately will hopefully be signed.

River Rouge is playing for the D3 championship right now. Two of the EMU commits.
