Turan Rush is in that list, is there another really good player from his team (Antelope Valley CC) still looking for a place to commit?
I can't tell if that is a 2019 recruiting story (I doubt it).
I don't know IF that was a thread for Rush's visit OR a future visit, by someone connected to Rush, this weekend OR if the Rush call is purely spurious (of no relevance).
It is as clear as mud to me.

Not sure I'm seeing the D1 athleticism right now? Surprised he's got 4 MAC offers already. I guess most of the TE's that actually look the part, end up at P5 schools. Have to find the DITR's and develop them at the MAC level.
A decent number of these kids make a big jump physically from their Junior to Senior year.

How is Oaks doing at EMU? Be nice to see a kid named Gunnar contribute.

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
For those who want to follow 2019 state of Michigan recruiting on a 'granular basis' here is The D Zone's Twitter where they deal with this... (big issue now is 'unofficial' visits of 2019 prospects).
Sounds like EMU is having a 'junior day' for prospective recruits.

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
Dear Friends,
Not saying that there are no good football players in Indiana, but why are we recruiting that State this hard? Is this the result of the budget cutbacks that President Smith talked about? Meaning we can't go on long recruiting trips.

It might be, but it's still way early in the 2019 game. All MAC schools recruit hard regionally. In 2018, 15/21 of WMU recruits came from Midwest, 16/25 for Toledo. Given that our recruiting classes have gotten better over the CC years and actually have produced on the field... I'm not going to doubt CC and staff tactics.

One thing to keep in mind, yes, recruiting regionally is a good thing. Some kids want to stay close to home and Indiana is (obviously) close to MI.
And, keep in mind there is only ONE MAC team in IN.
So if a Indiana H.S. player, of MAC abilities, doesn't want to play for BSU, there are other options and EMU would like to be one.

RE: 2019 Football Recruiting
Dear Friends,
After looking at last years roster, there are six or seven players from Indiana, so, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about.
