Norton big missed free throw with 1:45 left and up by 4. He has to learn to step up hit those crucial ones.

You are either way behind, or a slow typer
I was just commenting about it, not as if it was live. He hit that crucial three pointer to get a bit more comfortable 5 point lead, though.

Lee could easily drop 15-20 most nights. He just doesn't care to most of the time.
He could do even more if he had improved or diversified his game at all since his freshman year.

Agree 100%. Good googley that was a nasty block, but I don't understand how that doesn't get called.

He doesn't seem to care very often. Total waste of talent and athleticism. I stand by my statement that he's probably the most disappointing player I've seen at UAB, given his recruiting ranking, talent, athleticism, and how well his freshman season ended.
I'd rank him behind Eddie Collins and Larry Rembert (Rembert was good, but should have been great). Curiously, all three came from Selma.
Smallwood Time came way too early tonight.

Although not at the level of talent possessed by Collins, Rembert and Lee (all from the same area, hmmm), I would also put Preston Purifoy on my all disappointment list. Showed great promise as a freshman was barely playing by his senior year.

Word is Lee's been fighting through an injury since the summer. He was bent over grimacing and obviously exhausted during timeouts early in the season. He has also said in interviews that his focus this season is on playing defense.
We know he has NBA potential and my guess is conference play will look different than non-conference play for Ha Ha.

Yeah Purifoy has a really weird career. I actually think he fit better in the Davis style as he was a very fundamentally sound player. We went through weird changes in playing styles when Davis came and went.

Wow, New Orleans was very scrappy and very active and quick defensively. They had a good strategy, but at the same time officiating was bad, so some of that scrappy defense success was helped by the lack of calls by the refs.
We got out rebounded; it seems UNO was getting the fortuitous bounce, but I also think they were fouling on the rebounds and not getting called.
An interesting game, very energetic, strange, scary, but actually pretty entertaining.
Glad to come away with the win.

Yeah i figured there would be nobody at this game. Was really happy to see Norton have a solid game. If he rounds into form for conference play that really helps us out. Our bench may not be deep but what we have is strong.

The first half was at record pace on the stat sheet. UAB was up by fifteen at halftime. New Orleans drubbed UAB 37-29 in the second half, especially on the boards. New Orleans grabbed 18 offensive rebounds, 12 of those in the second half. Good to see that Ehsan is utilizing Makhtar Gueye, before conference play.
