These announcements are great news and a clear indication of just how generous this bill is to corporations.

Do you think there is a difference being a retail employee, IT wiz, or a VP of HR with an MBA? Corporate taxes are passed through to customers. And the higher the corporate tax rate the more likely American corporations off shore anything they can, see Ireland as an example.

So $1000 extra for my kids is a bad thing because I make more than 15$ an hour... It's funny how fast and far the leftist have moved the 1% rhetoric.

And how solid and strong private industry is good for people.

Not my point at all. Several announced that they were raising their minimum wage to $15 an hour. I was wondering how many of their employees made less than that currently.

Given that the U.S. corporate tax rate was one of the highest on the planet, I think that was one of the major points for the bill.

But wasn't the actual rate averaging around 21%?

= A very clear example of how not punishing corporations works in the favor of the employees.

Kills the left's "Trickle down economics doesn't work" line rather abruptly.

And only ignorant folks can totally mischaracterize what's been said in attempt to score cheap points.

Dude, nowhere did anyone here state that either the increased infrastructure spending or the bonus was a bad thing. Clearly, based on your post, we are justified in trying to bring necessary tempered expectations to the discussion.

No you just said the tax reform plan that got us to this point was a bad thing. That's all.

I think every corporation that announces bonuses to its employees or new investment here in the USA over the next year or so should make it very clear what role this tax bill had in their decisions.
