If you're a person of color, you probably don't know what it's like to have your university professors blame your race for all the worlds problems.
This is true. Things have changed a lot in 30 or 40 years.
When I was growing up, I watched a lot of TV and saw shows like Happy Days and the Brady Bunch.
I never saw Mexicans on TV or shows about brown people. For that reason, I grew up wanting to be white.
It wasn't until I was like 8 or 9 that I saw a show called. "Chico and the Man" and "Que pasa USA" and saw brown people for the first time on tv.
Things have come full circle now. I suspect white people will feel very much the way I felt for at least a generation or two before things get back to normal.
dude.....dafug....
chico and the man....poor ol' freddie and his addiction problem
sanford and son....redd foxx was the man
wkrp in cincinnati....my fave that truly dealt with racial resolve in a somewhat dark and humorous manner...
good times....."standing in the chow line"
the jeffersons....."moving on up"
'course since I'm a german/polish neo-nazi whitey (lmao), and as a tribute to your fear mongering, my fave was archie bunker....rob reiner was a little wussy boy then like he is today....I couldn't laugh enough at arch tossing barbs left and right at that gavina....
it's truly sad how too many have issues reading between the lines of humor/entertainment vs. reality
trust me when I tell you this....as a displaced midwesterner moving to little house on the ******* prairie back in '74, you may as well have tossed me into the redneck den of being a 'colored'.......you know what I did.....I tossed punches until they realized I wasn't a freak o' nature....
that's the beauty of childhood and lessons learned along the way.....one either learns to stand up for themselves or crawls into the corner.....
guess which ones emerge as the victors that enjoy the spoils (rhetorical)
oh wellzy....
