Build that WALL Build that WALL.....

When SS gets cut because of this boondoggle those Trump voters will remember this day.

When it comes to a give away to the donor class. You bet your ass the swamp is going to pass that.

Hopefully that's next, although the # of illegals coming here is at the lowest level since the early 70s. The Mexicans are so scared of Trump that we might not need it.

America is being made great again right before our very eyes!!!!

RE: The House has passed the Tax Bill
The number I heard was that we take in to the treasury about $2trillion for every one point increase in GDP. Thats the best way to tackle the debt we've got, cause its going to be hard getting the libturds to let go of their Obama phones and free sh*t.

And the report out yesterday was that there were murmerings that the GDP may hit 4% for the 4th quarter.

Hypocritical is sitting back sipping tea while your Lord Zero ballooned the debt and then jumping up out of your lawn chair to stomp your feet when his successor follows suit but actually adds something of value.

RE: The House has passed the Tax Bill & Then Senate-Now Back In The House
Remember the Bowles-Simpson and Domenici-Rivlin commissions that were formed to find ways to reduce or eliminate the budget deficit? Go back and look at their tax proposals. Compare them to this tax bill. Basically, the difference is that this tax bill keeps more itemized deductions than they did, and the individual rates for high incomes are not reduced nearly as much. And that was their idea of how to INCREASE revenues in order to DECREASE the budget deficit.

I still wish republicans had passed Bismarck health care and a universal basic income and either Bowles-Simpson or Domenici-Rivlin as soon as they regained control of the house in 2011. That would have shaped the debate very differently in the last few years. But they didn't. And until they wake up, I think we are in deep kimchee.

I wouldnt mind having a new thread started in the new forum on this. I would like to see us get to a consumption based tax. I do believe we would have to edge into it over time as to not severely impact certain people near retirement who, after paying federal payroll taxes their entire lives, then get hit with a consumption tax in retirement.

I'm one of those people in precisely that position, and I overwhelmingly support a consumption tax. The rest of the world has done it and found ways around the problem, so can we.
