About the same amount attending an AAC bowl this year.

Aside from the Peach Bowl being a sellout, the Liberty Bowl is also a sellout (& the AAC gets a larger payout between those two than the G4 get in all of their bowls combined). But got to SMH at anyone from GA St talking attendance smack.

If I'm following the conversation right, the ECU fan started the attendance smack. Panama's point is that attendance will be a struggle at the G5 level. I'm the first to admit GSU has an attendance issue, but it isn't a problem unique to our school. Most G5 schools average under 20k attendance

You have one team in an access bowl. All the rest will suck accordinly. We sold our allotment plus some and we won. We checked off all of our December business. M now to 2018 and phase II of stadium.

I would be willing to throw out the Peach Bowl and wager that the average attendance and viewership of the AAC non NY6 bowls is greater than the average attendance and viewership of the Sunbelt's.

Good job on both the win and selling your allotment, though.

This is how bowl attendance works you neophyte. It gets better as you progress through December. If we had played a 6-6 P5 our attendance would have doubled. If it was a Southern P5 it would have tripled. Play in a better bowl after Christmas and who knows. But if your team had played yesterday in the Cure you likely would have drawn LESS.

Yes, in Iowa they play high school football games in subzero windchills, the band marches, the cheerleaders cheer.

RE: G4 Playoff Proposal
Attendance starting dropping at Northern GA. State to an announced 12K (meaning 300 fans). This after having the new stadium. They should give up the dream of fielding a club level football team. Leave it up to the P6 to field real football.

Last two football games at UCF were sellouts over 45K each. Takes Northern Ga. State an entire year to get 45K.

Northern Ga. State shouldn't call anyone a neophyte. MY school has been playing at the highest level for over a century. That's why we're top 25 all time wins.
And since we've been to 14 bowls in the last fifteen years, and have averaged selling 18,000 tickets through our allotment (yes you read that right, Navy ticket office sales of bowl tickets, not eyeballing sections or guessing based on t-shirts seen in the bars the night before), I also know how bowl attendance works, better than any recently jumped up DIAA.

Here's the bottom line: we weren't in the Cure Bowl yesterday because that was the tie in that the AAC DROPPED.
So maybe you should just be thankful to get our P6 scraps, and then keep your G4 piehole shut until spoken to.

I take it from your "explanation" that you're not ready to back up your "about the same amount attending an AAC bowl this year" attempt...

OK peewee, get back to the kiddy pool. And attempt to get your facts straight when you do speak. I forgot no one to talk to in your kiddy pool....so just go play with yourself.

And BTW, get ready for Kennesaw St to confirm your status in the future.

I'm really saddened that this thread has been reduced to this this malaise. I really wanted a good healthy discussion on my proposal; the pros, cons, etc. Intelligent talk. Sadly, this mud slinging and name calling is all that has ensued.

My neck is great this morning. Looking at a trophy at a 45 degree angle.

Meanwhile the temperature in n Storrs is a balmy 24 with a wind chill of 18 and a forecast for no football wins in sight. [Image: 5f519849be949bd471bad9be287701bf.jpg]

So embarrassing being proud of winning a G4 game. Anyone nonathletic can play G4 football. I guess when you get crowds of high schools you really have low expectations.

How many G4 wins should be allowed to count towards bowl eligibility? Like Georgia Southern State didn't beat anyone better than ECU or UConn but they got to 6 wins because of all the wins over 2-10 G4 teams. Doesn't seem fair.

I am calling you a neophyte. GSU is a school and of course incapable of posting on message board.
All that crap you're spewing and still G5 which was my point.

As a side note you disproved nothing by giving us your school's bowl record. But thanks anyway.

The g4 championship should be played in a cow pasture. Count each cow as a fan to increase the announced attendance. Cows like boring stuff too.
