West Florida to the SBC?
I was looking around and haven't seen anything from Florida Jag (if I remember correctly that's who wants UWF). I'm surprised he isn't going nuts over them to the SBC since they are playing in the D2 National Championship Game.

RE: West Florida to the SBC?
He’s been keeping everyone on the realignment board updated on Kennesaw State joining the Sun Belt so maybe he’s just given up on plugging UWF and FGCSU for the least crazy option.

There will be no teams added unless UALR idiotically starts football and we have to balance the East.

Sure, pencil them in for consideration for the 2146-47 season.

Having lived in both Little Rock and Charlotte metro, and with full knowledge and acceptance of the fact Charlotte should have never started an FBS team, I think UALR would be more successful than UNCC.

You realize mentioning the phrase “West Florida” in a thread here is like putting up the bat signal right? FJ will follow shortly

D2 team is a non-topic. Hell, most people don't care about the FCS.

Why not argue for Spring Hill College while you're at it.

Spring Hill did have football from 1900 to 1941. They even played Alabama twice splitting the series.

The moderators won't let me keep a thread on the topic on this board.

Don't necessarily disagree, but why does someone who I assume lives in Georgia believe it would be idiotic for UALR to start football?

Not a high bar...starting a program is a state that is not talent rich with a bunch of other football programs fighting over every decent player is not a recipe for success.

They dont even have a large student base to support attendance and or fees. Also as GaSt has seen location does not help a bit in attendance only winning does at the G5 level and Little Rock is not close to ATL anyway. At least when GaSt does start winning consistently they have a large student pop and alumni pop to draw from they also have a built in decent budget with the amount of students and one of the highest fees in the state. If Elliot can recruit at all he can jump in a car and drive at most 40 miles in any direction to see all the talent he needs. GS has to make a little bit further drive but still can be home for a late dinner driving to ATL.
