Democrat Doug Jones Wins Alabama Senate Seat In The Special Election
A lot of Republicans voted for a write in candidate, and many others stayed home. Roy Moore's issues was his own fault. Moore's campaign have been doomed from the start.

Yep. Alabama republicans have had their heads up their asses for a long time, and it finally caught up with them. The whole Alabama republican leadership needs to step down. For that matter, the national republican leadership needs to do the same.

The way to win an election is to accuse the opponent of being a child molester 3 weeks before the election. That's all this means.

Moore would have lost anyways with or without the accusations. He had issues with gays and minorities for a long time.

CNN is acting like Moore is going to save the world. They are off their tits in joy. It's actually hilarious to watch.

He's a one term guy once the GOP puts a semi-decent right-winger on the ballot. This is only a temporary setback.

Trump lost twice in Alabama (first Luther Strange and then Roy Moore). Guess his winning streak just officially ended.

I love watching sad liberals after an election.

Watching smug happy liberals is no fun

Trump lost three elections in a row if you count Virginia.

Can we go even farther and include the Dems?

There’s virtually nothing positive in this country’s leadership.

Yeah, I'm sure it didn't make the any impact. How many votes did he lose by? Oh yeah, less than half the write I'm amount. Yep, no impact.

"Smug" is the perfect word. They have this little arrogance about them on CNN. They can't just say that Moore was the better candidate and won.

This is why people are tired of the media.

Luther couldn’t have lost because of his state centered issues.

Nope! Couldn’t be!

Jones is an awful candidate. A good candidate would have beat an accused child molester by 20 points.

I'm far from a Moore supporter but that's absolute BS.

I'd have to look at the election results some more, but without knowing any details I'd probably guess that this was kinda similar to Trump-Hillary in the sense that the winner kept pretty consistent totals to his party in previous elections with the loser's base basically staying at home. This was a vote against Moore, not for Jones.

Umm, he barely lost with the accusations. What could possibly make you think he would have lost anyway?

I was kinda looking forward to the Republicans having Trump, bannon and Moore hanging around their necks. Talk about three attractions for a three ring circus.

You know your party is in bad shape when you are spiking the ball after a razor thin victory over an accused child molester.

They had to drop every resource in the party and every last penny they could muster into this race and still won by just a few votes.

This can't be good for the left.
