He doesn't have the body RO play down low no lmatter how aggressive he is. If he plays at the next level, it will be based on his perimeter play. But college is maybe two games a week and he doesn't show up every game. NBA is going to be 3-4 nights a week. He's got to start showing up every game.
Yep...
I think the same could be said for Gueye, and Pearson too.
Lee is a stretch four, and was being groomed to be a point forward.
Also Cokley is smallish too the reason you probably see more of a face up post game out of him.
We're a CUSA team. We aren't going to recruit many who are readymade for the NBA. Those that make it from CUSA schools do so because of hard work and drive.
The standard excuse, but ok.

How many CUSA schools have had first round draft picks since the current lineup has been set.
You may call it an excuse, but it is valid. Nobody on our team, or even ourleague is going to play in the NBA. Some may get looked at or play in the G League, but no substantial NBA careers.
Not unless they work hard, develop themselves and have miracles happen. CUSA does not get one and dones
We may not have an NBA caliber guy on the roster, but that's to be seen. But over the years maybe not this cusa but we've seen small school guys drafted from Davidson,Weber St.,Murray St. and San Diego St.. Marshall has found a NBA caliber guy but it was 2.0. It's about recruiting and development.
Depends on the time frame.
But UAB in the last ten years.
Had 2 players drafted
2 play in the league as undrafted guys or sign a contract
Had a run to the sweet 16
It can be done bottom line, it will take some time but it can be done.

Mitchell Robinson maybe Josh Anderson but they're not playing. I would say it happens when some one actually starts to dominate this league or recruits that way a lot goes into it.

RE: UAB leads the nation in Free Throw Percentage
UAB has missed a ton of free throws since I first initiated this thread. In C-USA games, UAB is only converting 64.6% of their free throws. That ranks 12th in the conference. For the season to date, UAB is at 74.1% which is 75th nationally.

Tired legs for the seven man rotation.

RE: UAB leads the nation in Free Throw Percentage
Teams are recognizing UAB's prowess at the line and really stepping up their FT defense during conference play.

Doesn’t seem to be having much of an effect on Cokley. And he should be as tired as anybody on the team.

Lol the offense seems church league since everybody can jack up shots, unlike mtsu.

RE: UAB leads the nation in Free Throw Percentage
We feel UAB’s pain right now.
At the half, WKU has shot 15 free throws... we’ve shot 3.
