He never owned up to doing anything. Plus, if the Dems were really outraged, they would make him resign right away, not weeks from now. They want him around for some big votes coming up.
Yep. He will resign in the "coming weeks." A champion of women? Of course Trump had to come up. Frankenblame.

I see David gets his talking points from the lead hypocrite, the one who was singing Bill's praises just a couple of years ago:
“Enough is enough,” Gillibrand said. “When we start having to talk about the differences between sexual assault and sexual harassment and unwanted groping, we are having the wrong conversation. We need to draw a line in the sand and say none of it is okay, none of it is acceptable.”
The article points out that nobody is calling for Menendez to resign. However the Democrats might well do that once the Republican governor Chris Christie's term is up. Franken and Conyers will both be replaced by Democrats. Bill Clinton is gone, so they can criticize him all they want now.

You can't have it both ways Al. If you are resigning, you are admitting guilt. If innocent, why would you resign. He even took time to bash Trump in his pitiful resignation speech.
Latest rumour that I've heard:
None of these pass transgressions were enough to force him to even offer to step-down, as they (appear to have) occurred before his Senate career started.
So there's something out there that occurred while he is a US Senator that's going to be ugly. He's trying to give the appearance of stepping down before whatever is possibly around the corner comes to light, or maybe even prevent it from coming to light. (that's why he noted : ".. in a couple of weeks'.)
Quote:Franken is a POS that many thought stole the election.
I wont' say Franken stole it.. I will say that I think the DNC pulled some very dirty fraudulent moves to get Franken that seat though.

There is nothing more un-Democratic than a bunch of people sitting around a table trying to read voter's minds. If they can't make themselves clear, it shouldn't count. I think the voting recount exercise was earnest, but it was idiotic.

Of course, nobody knew about these things when he ran. Pretty weak opposition research. I think what he did to that woman on the USO Tour was enough. Forcing his tongue down her throat was bad enough. But he took the picture and then gave it to her after she rejected him. That was a threat. "See what I can do to you?"
"Half of the women accusing me are lying, and the other half misinterpreted my actions. I'll resign, but I'd win if it came to it because the Ethics committee would agree. Also, I'm resigning after the Alabama election to see if Roy Moore wins... because if he does, I'll resign so that my party can point to my resignation and DEMAND that the Republicans do the same. And THEN we go after Trump."

Have the Minnesota governor appoint a Republican to replace Franken and then we'll talk.

Pretty much the ultimate team over country statement.
If Moore does win, I hope the republicans boot him immediately.

BS.
Did you listen to what Franken said? He said half the women are lying and the other half misinterpreted what he was doing.
He also said the ethics committee would agree.
He then said it's ironic that he has to resign but we have a President and Alabama candidate that are accused of the same.
Only problem is, there are no photos out there of Roy Moore grabbing a passed out woman's breasts. There is PROOF against Franken. There are ALLEGATIONS against Moore, which he denies.
Innocent until proven guilty. Unless you're a Republican, that is.
Franken's resignation is simply a tool to oust Moore if he wins, and go after their ultimate prize - Trump.

I would hope they boot Moore because the guy is a wacko. And Alabama would replace him with another republican.
And if the party of Teddy "Blonde in the Pond" Kennedy tries to take this further, republicans have lots to take them to task for.
