LOL I'm liking those forecasted temps though.

RE: NEW stadium construction
Elevtor access for us old geezers was pretty well dorked up last week. Though we eventually were able to use the elevators, procedures in place were unwieldy, confusing, inconsistent and overall maddening. We bought tickets on the west side upper deck only after discussing elevator access in person with the powers that be and being assured it would not be a problem. This has been brought to the attention of office staff for both JB and WS, and it will be interesting to see how it goes today.

RE: NEW stadium construction
The elevator guards were hard core last game. I tried to use it as I sit in the top row and had just walked all the way down to use the restroom (grrrrrrr) and they asked me a bunch of personal questions about my health, eventually saying I could use it if I wasn’t physically able to walk the steps. At that point I just left and walked.

RE: NEW stadium construction
Wow, we've had no problem with the elevator, and we're in the 200s. We also get there an hour before kickoff usually, before the coaches go up and it's held for Broderick and "the first Lady." Not sure why JB can't ride up with fans, but everybody's a superstar.

Also, the food we've had (salads, cheeseburger, pretzels) has been very good. Kettle corn not so much. Very salty last week.

So when there is a party on the third level concourse you're not allowed to use the concourse or the elevators. My brother is over in 210 near the top and couldn't use the concessions or elevator due to a private party.

No worries about the elevator, bathroom, or concession usage going forward because the crowds will be minimal going forward. The crowd for the WKU game was surprisingly smaller.

They need video boards in the concession area so fans can see the game while standing in line (not that last night's[/u] game was worth watching).

Stadium is fine, a major upgrade from what we had.

The team on the field is pitiful (specifically the Offense), a major downgrade from what we have had

I'd happily go back to the old SB Ballard at Foreman Field for a team worth watching

I wasn’t surprised by it. Just sad. It’s going to get much worse. We will likely be 1-6 when we come back home for FAU. I guess we have about 10,000 die hard fans. 80%+ of those will show at most games. Nobody else will care to watch a team this bad. I predict we will have games with actual attendance under 10,000 this season. The good news is, if we put a winner on the field, there are enough fair weather ODU fans to sell out every game.

While I was standing in line to buy my double bacon cheeseburger (which was pretty good, I suggest trying it), my friend pointed out that you can get a 24 oz fountain drink for the same price as a bottle of water (16 oz?). Of course they fill the fountain drinks half with ice. But what is ice, just frozen water anyway.

That's why I always ask for no ice. It come out cold as is and you end up with more drink lol.

RE: NEW stadium construction
Stadium experience was considerably better this past week. Concession lines were reasonable. The self-service Kiosk was extremely quick but still underutilized. Also, even though it seems fairly apparent to me; they may need to put a sign on or above them that says credit/debit cards only. While waiting for my food I noticed several people complete their order and just stand there waiting for a cashier stop and take their money. Then they would get aggravated because after waiting in the Kiosk line they then had to go to the back of the full service line. Also, noticed that we had an actual usher checking tickets this week. I was told that this has been the case every week, but apparently we hadn't met till this past Saturday. There were some people in our section who didn't seem to take kindly to being asked to show their ticket every time they reentered the section; but you can't have it both ways. That's the only way to police seat swapping. Finally, I NEEED MY CUPHOLDERS!! It's been half the season now... That is all.

Why do we care about seat swappers? If someone is in someone else's seat, the owner of that seat will let them know and get security if needed. If I want to sit with a buddy in an empty section 2 down from mine, what difference does it make? They should be happy fans are there at all. I could understand if the place was sold out.

I personally don't care about the swapping; especially since there are a lot of seats that are made available on third-party sites each week. So you really never know who's "suppose" to be sitting anywhere. Right or wrong, I guess the general consensus of what I've heard from those concerned is that they paid a premium for the view, seat backs (and absent cup holders) so it irks them when people just slide on over into empty seats. Like I said before, I don't really care because I feel like I got the benefits that I paid for (absent my cup holders) so it really doesn't affect me. But I will say that it was kind of annoying for the first couple games this season when my view of the game was obstructed for several times because students where arguing with season ticket holders that they received an email from the University that said that they could sit in any empty seats after the 1st quarter. Even if that were true they should have vacated once the ticket holder arrived.

Why do we care about seat swappers when the stadium looks like this?[Image: d5b103e3ed08350af852312457971d67.jpg]

Oh my. Thats the home side, and its still early. JB must be having a fit. I wonder if Wood himself is on the "warm" seat at this point.
